Carla , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

Our mission is to bring more information to people when it comes to the technology of Orgone Energy, as well as the damages the EMF radiation produced by the several electronics that we use every day can cause. Same as the concept of a Salt lamp, which heats up with the light bulb and causes the salt to create ions that are released in the air and help to purify the room, Orgonites follow a similar technology.
An orgonite is a device that can help absorb and in turn clear the EMF radiation from electronics. It was a technology discovered by William Reich, but he was never able to complete his work.
We also use the energy of crystals and their characteristics. Our orgonites are hand made with specific crystals that help with several things, such as sleep, anxiety relief, boost of energy, etc.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Carla Sullo Scuro. I am 35 years old, I have lived in Miami for about 20 years. My family is originally from Italy but I was born and raised in Venezuela. We are trilingual and have a combination of all these cultures. I have always been a very artistic and creative person, from very early age, I was taking art and painting classes. A big influence in my life is my grandmother, she taught me everything she knows about holistic practices, healing the body through unconventional methods, such as acupuncture, diet changes and even the power of manifestation and positive thinking.
I discovered Orgonites about four years ago while I was researching the effects that radiation can have in our bodies and I came across the work of William Reich and the scientists that followed up with his work.
Three years ago, my grandmother came to my house to visit and brought me a small orgonite pyramid that she had purchased for me in a crystal shop. I was mesmerized by its simplicity. It had a combination of amethyst crystals and metals and it was made entirely out of resin. The first thought that popped into my head was “I can make this”
At this time, I was a stay at home mom with a 3 year old special needs boy. My time was consumed with taking care of him 24/7 but I wanted to find a way to work on my own terms and make extra funds. The next day, I spent my entire day researching resin work and how meticuluos it has to be, thinking more about the safety measures I had to take, etc. Consulted with my husband and we decided to purchase the materials so that I could make my own orgonites. A week later, I started experimenting in my garage and I self taught myself all the techniques and ways to making resin work in the best way possible. I continue to always look for new techniques and ideas.

Within a month (This was about September of 2021) I had an Etsy shop open and received my first purchase.Three months later, I did a collaboration with a YouTube channel that had me for an interview, my store went viral and it has been growing ever since!
What I would want people to know about my brand is that everything we sell is done with the best intention possible. All the pieces were designed and made by me, with all the love in this world. My culture and upbringing also influenced how I design them, since I have always loved bright, bold colors and learned how to combine them. My orgonites tend to be very colorful and have tons of different elements to them. Every one has a story behind it and a particular intention!

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.

I went into this on the last section (sorry) but yes, I manufacture my own product. I was self taught and perfected my craft using trial an error. I still keep the first pyramid I ever made, with mistakes and all, but it is a testament of how far I’ve gotten with my resin work and understanding what elements an orgonite has to have in order to function properly.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.

Yes! this business was supposed to be my side hustle to have extra income for eventualities. When I started, I was a stay at home mom and my husband was the sole provider of the household. Three months into, my store went viral after I did an interview on Youtube, receiving over 650 orders in a few days. Etsy even closed down my store because they suspected fraud.
I then opened up my own website and continued to work with a team of Youtubers that would do my promotions as affiliates. Three years later, our business has made it possible for my husband to quit his job and work with me full time. It is now our main source of income and it has allowed us to grow financially in ways we could not have imagined.
