We caught up with the brilliant and insightful CarieAnn Ochs a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi CarieAnn, thanks for joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

From childhood I knew that my interests were different. Different in a good artistic way. And that I always wanted to help people!!

Those artistic endeavors were suppressed through my childhood, young adult, and into my adulthood.
I did not have the best guidance and support growing up. And often felt trapped. I was told my way of thinking, or doing things were wrong. So with little to no appropriate support, little by little that side of me was tucked away for many years.

After raising my daughter, and her reaching high school level, and becoming more independent. I had better support in my life and I was able to tap into those childhood artistic endeavors. It was not easy to chip away at all the miscommunication I had received for so many years. But each time I did it felt amazing to find that little treasure buried inside!!

I realize the gift I wanted to share was that by helping others, it helps me.
And to love everything!! Especially yourself and God!!

I feel there’s wonderful energy in rocks, crystal’s, and minerals, that are all natural. It can put off a healing energy that we can absorb and work with in our body. And if used daily with guidance could possibly replace a lot of man-made medications. And help with mental stimuli!!

As far as being able to pursue
professionally my dream, that did not become reality until February of 2022!!

Having a business isn’t always easy, especially when you are the boss and the employee. But if you give yourself grace, and love yourself on the days that are hard, it is possible to fulfill your dreams!!

It is never too late to dream, for it is the one thing that does not expire!!

CarieAnn, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My business came about by helping myself. My life had been made up of multiple traumas throughout different periods. The most traumatic being childhood. I didn’t like the way I felt carrying around the burden of all those traumas. And I thought there had to be a way to release them from my body.

After doing research, and working in various fields of the rock and mineral business in Arizona.
I decided I wanted to start a business where I could help people find appropriate minerals to wear or keep close to them!
It would then assist in the healing and or energy-assistance they were interested in.

My clients can bring their own mineral, or I can help with finding one for them.
I then put the mineral into various pieces such as wire wrapped necklaces, bracelets, keychains, home decor, suncatchers, cremation jewelry, light carving and a variety of others.

I’m always eager to learn new methods and try different things, so I’m open to suggestions from my clients as well!! We work together!!

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to learn early on that I wasn’t going to do everything perfect. That they were going to be a lot of bumps in the road.

The backstory is simple!! Don’t let other people’s energy affect yours.

A lot of my life I let outside energies affect and dictate mine. And even people-pleasing at times. You will not be happy living this way!!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My goal and mission are the same. Help people feel better. Everyone. And my biggest drive is my relationship with God!!
