Caprisha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Lovingyournaturalself is a Natural Hair Care & Hair Loss Center catering to people of color and those who choose to wear their Natural texture of hair, whether it be curly, coily or kinky! This has always been looked down upon in society. It has caused alot of conflict and stress in our community. Lovingyournaturalself was created with those in mind to have a safe space to come and enjoy self care pampering, embracing your natural hair texture together. Specializing in all types of Braids Twists Locs Natural Styles & more! The health of the scalp should come 1st before the hairstyle. Our mission is for our clients to leave more educated about their hair, feel better about themselves and the best products to use for their hair

Caprisha, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I fell in love with the Artistry of hair at the young age of 13. I realized that was one thing everyone in the world had in common, they have hair, used to have hair or want hair! Either way I was interested. I’ve been in the Hair Industry for over 15 years. I am a Natural Hair Care Specialist and Trichologist, which is the study of Hair and Scalp Disease. I specialize in all types of Braids Twists Locs Natural Styles and Medical Wigs I am proud of the launch of our new product line! Our products promote hair growth and hair follicle stimulation

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.

Funny you asked that!? I thought doing hair was going to be my side hustle lol!! As much as I loved building clientele, I just wasn’t confident that I could make this a full time career. My original plan was to become a Traveling nurse. I started as a Phlebotomist for a few years. I thought nursing school was my next move. My clientele was really growing and I just took that leap of faith and found a salon to work in, get licensed and do my true passion full time

How did you build your audience on social media?

I’m actually STILL trying to build my social media. I know I just need to post more and go live more! I’m definitely working on it. I really do enjoy making content. I’m getting really good at it too lol. I have almost 2,000 followers on IG. I know I got thise when I was posting more. That is definitely the advice I would.give anyone starting out getting followers. I hear it’s the posting!!!
