We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Candice White a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Candice , appreciate you joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
I was on the telephone with my life coach discussing the difficulties and challenges that I experienced. She said, “ You’ve always used your mouth for bad, one day you will use it for good”. I’m an extremely vocal person. I’ve been this way my entire life. I’m not sure about what happened at that moment but what she said stuck with me.
A year later, I was sitting in my room and the idea just came to my mind. I didn’t know what I was going to do but I knew I wanted to share my story and knowledge with the world. I started recording myself on an iPhone 6 and uploading it to Instagram and YouTube. During the next few months, people began seeing me and I became the host of an online radio show. I did that for a few months. I continued to work on my ideas and talk to people with experience for guidance in the media genre.
I was asked, “ What did I want to do specifically?” I said, “ I wanted to start a Podcast.” They immediately said, “No you need to be seen, don’t just be a voice you’re too attractive to hide and your smile is beautiful, let people see those pretty white teeth of yours.”. I instantly went back to the drawing.
I continued doing research and getting assistance. That following month I was a guest on a podcast. That episode was hilarious and did well. They asked me to be a host on their Podcast. Of course, I said “ yes”, and we did a few episodes together. Then out of the blue, both shows decided to give me the boot lol. I laughed so hard every time I think about it because it’s funny as crap to me. An explanation wasn’t given they simply stopped communicating with me. It didn’t bother me because I had a platform I needed to learn and grow. You see I don’t spiral out of control when something happens to me that I didn’t expect. I choose to spiral forward with a solution.
I put my entire focus on creating my dream. I researched equipment, took classes, and learned how to work microphones, cameras, etc. Once I decided to do a talk show and I wanted it to be in real-time, it was lights, cameras, and action. On July 17th, 2018 I introduced Candi Coated Secrets Talk Show to the world.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a law of attraction coach, reiki healer, best-selling author, and an affiliate for Renew You Body Butter and I’m currently in the process of becoming a Master Metaphysics Teacher. In 2015 an unexpected life-changing event occurred, I had to figure out how my life was going to look and how I would move forward. This is when my life coach introduced me to the Law of Attraction.
I began doing lots of self-work and healing exercises. I decided to take control of my life and take my power back from situations that didn’t serve my life. I knew I had so much to offer the world and I wanted to share my story to inspire others. I wanted to help people understand their life experiences by using the law of attraction to change their lives for the better.
The thing that sets me apart from others is I practice what I teach. I have to be my first best student. Once I understood that everything else came together. Also, the person you see on the internet is who I am in real life. I only know how to be myself, you either love me or you don’t. Either way, it’s none of my business because I accept my flaws and all.
I’m proud of how much my platform has been able to inspire, uplift, and encourage others. I’m still growing my platform and I’ve done things I never dreamed of. I often receive messages from my followers telling me how I’ve helped them or I have inspired them. We have provided and I use the word “We” because I wouldn’t be able to do anything without the support from my followers, we have provided Thanksgiving for families, and Christmas, and assisted with evictions. I’ve even assisted others with starting their businesses.
I want people to know that you can do anything that you put your mind to. When you feel like giving up or you don’t know where to begin, take a look at me because I’m living evidence that it’s possible. I am getting back the years that the locusts have eaten. Enjoy the process and everything will happen when it’s supposed to.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
While I was working in property management we had to create an online advertisement ad for prospects because of COVID. My coworker and I came up with an entire skit, it was really good. I had the opportunity to put everything I learned to the test. I’m self-taught so I was excited about what I would create with the little bit of knowledge I had. We submitted the video to upper management. They were so impressed by the video that they put it on the corporate website.
I remember feeling so good and on top of the world. I was able to see how much I had learned on my own, especially because I’m self-taught. That same day I learned that my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. On top of that, my show was about to start in 30 minutes.
I turned the camera on and continued with my show. I didn’t tell anyone what I was dealing with at the time until about 8 months later. My guests were shocked once they learned about my mother’s situation.
One of them even said, “ Omg I had no idea you were dealing with something so heavy”. Remember, earlier when I said I spiral forward? This is an example of that. Ultimately, I knew there wasn’t anything I could do about it, so I decided to pray and uplift my mother through the process. Here we are 3 years later and she is cancer free. I do my best not to focus on the problem I’d rather focus on the solutions.
How did you build your audience on social media?
My consistency is how I built my audience on social media. I hadn’t taken a break in 5 years. So many people want to be an entrepreneur but everyone doesn’t have what it takes. Being an entrepreneur is hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and discipline. You have to believe in yourself even if no one else does. I remember creating a GoFundMe account to get equipment to elevate my show. Do you know how many people said I shouldn’t do it? Of course, I didn’t listen I went through with it anyway.
I remember thinking people weren’t paying attention to me because I didn’t have millions of followers but they were. After I celebrated my 5th anniversary I took a break. So many people reached out and asked if was I coming back.
When I created a GoFundMe account, I was able to purchase my first camera and register my business. With that being said, have fun doing whatever you are doing. Do your best not to pay attention to the numbers because they will change often. Enjoy the process and celebrate the little wins no matter how small. Don’t give up before the miracle happens.
