Candice , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
Starting a business is a risk. You are risking your time; your money; your safety net; your peace of mind.
As a single mother of three wonderful boys. I took the risk of taking my savings and starting my business. My savings from my job I had for four years. I worked for a bridal boutique called Almond Tree Bridal. Where I fell in love with the bridal boutique industry. Almond Tree had been open for 15 plus years when COVID 19 hit Phoenix, Arizona. Leaving Pamela Hardy/ owner wondering whether she wanted to continue the business or retire, after a month during the shut down she decided to shut her doors permanently. I immediately expressed my thoughts on opening my own boutique. I promised Pam I would not leave till the store closed.
As hard as it was to watch the place that changed my life shut down, I knew my life was about to change. I took all my savings and started buying Pams inventory. I used each check for three months to purchase furniture and gowns!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
In 2018 I graduated from the Art institute of Phoenix with a bachelors degree in Fashion Design. My senior collection was the very first bridal collection that came out of AI in Phoenix Arizona. I had a collection of four gowns. The Art Institute taught me the digital side of the fashion industry.
When it comes to the construction side of the industry. I had been home taught by my grandmother Maria Luisa Flores. Whom studied in Mexico. I’ve been learning from her since I was seven years old.
The House of RemiRose is a very unique bridal boutique that sits on a wedding venue. We are located in Central Phoenix, Arizona. We provide our bride with the ultimate bridal shopping experience for her and her party. She is provided with a one on one stylist. Our stylist has seven years of experience.
All our gowns are sold off the rack. Which means that we do not order anything in a different color or a different size each gown is one of a kind. We also has an amazing seamstress who has twenty five years of experience who does all the alterations in house.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I have learned in my industry that the best source of a new client would be by word of mouth. The bridal industry is very personal, so most bride ask for recommendations. Word of mouth is the most trusted!
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy in growing has been simply talking about my business. I have had to learn that I am the best form of marketing for me! I have had to get out of my comfort zone and meet and greet people v
