We recently connected with Candice Eden and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Candice, thanks for joining us today. Looking back, what’s an important lesson you learned at a prior job
In previous jobs in corporate settings, I learned the importance of underpromising and overdelivering in any task I was to execute. I never wanted to set an expectation that would bring undue pressure or flawed delivery, so I made sure customers’ expectations of me were set ahead of time and then surprised them with the ‘extra’ excellence I had already factored in but didn’t necessarily disclose to them. This translated to my businesses and ministries beautifully! People always compliment me on how I execute things such as client relationships, deliverables, music, events, and, I know it’s partly because I make it a point to manage expectations well and then deliver gold. I have a determination to be very intentional about giving business clients, more than what they expected and also giving top tier results in ministry assignments even if a basic expectation had been set for the individuals hiring or booking me for a job or conference, etc. I believe the Lord expects us to do all things no matter how large or small with excellence, precision, grace, and in a timely manner and corporate jobs helped make this a habit.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a mother, singer/songwriter, author, entrepreneur, and foodie extra-ordinaire! I discovered the world of credit repair about 4 years ago which has since transitioned into being licensed in Life Insurance and investing in Mobile Homes. The financial sector and assisting in the affordable housing challenges has become a God-given passion and incentive for about 2 years now, and so my focus has been on building in these two areas to help families protect their assets and homes and provide a solution for families needing a more affordable option for residential living. I am also a singer/songwriter/author with a new album and project titled “Going4Glory” coupled with a new book “Prelude to Worship” which is a teaching about worship from a foundational place. This is my 4th book, available now on Amazon and my very 1st full music project which will also include a live album release in addition to a shorter studio release. I’ve always known much of what I was to do would mean pioneering and creating the blueprint for business, music, ministry and sure enough this is exactly what has happened over the last few years. I’ve had to trust and rely on God for my direction completely because there was never really any template to go by in the things He would tell me to do. I now know this is a part of my dna, being one of the first to do things a certain way which seemingly goes against the norms and it has caused me to be even more firmly established in who He called and made me to be. The beautiful part of it all is that no matter if it is business feeding into ministry or ministry feeding into business, when I let God lead, the results have been astronomical and I’m able to help others see the beauty of relying on Him when they come to me to teach them. Candice Eden Ministries is a music, teaching, prophetic ministry called to ignite the world into true and pure worship to the Lord in all areas of ones life.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Prayer! Prayer! Prayer! The most effective strategy for anything I embark upon is always prayer FIRST. Praying is engagement back and forth with God and He gives me the details needed for business movement as well as building in ministry as well. Lots of times I’ll even dream answers to certain things which is another way He speaks to me. As weird as that may sound to many, the proof is in the pudding! Prayer opened up this huge budget for my most recent music release, and prayer also showed me how to release content and tell my story/journey to reach those who would be interested in what I had to say. Praying is what also brought the notion of looking into Mobile Homes as a business and since doing so, my whole world has opened up.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
6 years ago I found myself filing for divorce after just 1.5 years of marriage with no money, job, vehicle and a baby that would soon be diagnosed with Level 2 Autism. I felt like a failure and was sure I had messed up my daughter and I’s lives though the decision to divorce was definitely justified. Over the years and with my mothers support, I realized my life wasn’t over simply because of mistakes and red flags I had dismissed. Starting over wasn’t a death sentence but a birthing, and I began to see the truth in that as time went on. I began to put things in place to start my first business and obtained a mentor to help guide me in incorporating said first business and Arm Financial Solutions, Inc was born. I also was depressed for a time because I felt my dreams of making music were no longer a possibility anymore because now I’m a single mom with a daughter with challenges to raise, but, that was not true either. Starting my business and asking God for help in all of that ALSO re-awakened the passion and call to music He had placed in me. I found myself writing again, then writing songs again etc. New life has come!
