We were lucky to catch up with Camille Walker recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Camille thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
I got my first client by offering a safe place to have a conversation. When the conversation was over the person asked if they could hire me to help them figure out what they really wanted to do with their life. It was so surprising to realize I had shared enough value in one conversation such that the person wanted to compensate me for services.
Camille, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
While practicing law I began helping lawyers in transition determine what they wanted to do with their law degree. It comes natural to help folks discover and uncover their true desires and deploy those skills in a meaningful way. It became a regular part of what I liked to do. As time went on I began speaking about the issue of transition and howto navigate successfully. Transition is change whether voluntary or unvoluntary are opportunities to grow. That led me to mentoring, transformational work and the rest is history. Helping entrepreneurs and career professionals monetize their brilliance so they can create the time and freedom they desire is what I do.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I conduct a before and after story for each client so they can read about their progress and be proud of their own transformation. Here is a client success story I’d like to share:
Is under earning killing your business?
When we started working together, Jess indicated this was the case for her. The stress of inconsistent income was affecting her sales big time. It was frustrating her not to be able to create the income she desired.
Reason?
Sales blocks.
Have you ever noticed how selling brings up all kinds of stories around why you’re unable to close more sales. Not enough prospects, prospects aren’t qualified, prospect don’t have money, prospect wants to think about it and more. These stories influence the sales energy.
Now realize…
You have a money story good or bad.
You have a story around whether you feel worthy of success or not.
You have self-limiting patterns to keep you safe.
Jess had her story too. She made the decision to do what was necessary to overcome the sales block.
When we began working together Jess had faith enough to give it 90 days — and in about 45 days she got her first break through her money blocks and her feeling of not being worthy of success. In 45 days she hit her goal for the first time in a while and continued thereafter. Then I challenged Jess to raise her sales goal. She was hesitant to do so. By raising her income goal, she raised her expectation and had to learn how to reprogram her mind to accept the new sales goal as normal.
Here is what we did that was most helpful:
*Learned how to pinpoint and release the beliefs that were holding her back.
*Disarm the negative emotional triggers that were holding the belief in place.
*Learned the art of identity shifting to show up authentically of service
If Jess could have known all those years of suffering with sales block was as simple as going deeper to uncover the beliefs and sabotaging patters, she would have gotten support sooner. She went on to work with me for an entire year and it changed the trajectory of her business and relationships with co-workers (her husband noticed the change and he too got a raise at work), unexpected abundance came as a result of her now being open to abundance. Last I checked Jess continues to exceed her sales goals.

March 2020 I had my speaking engagements booked out for that year when COVID-19 hit. I decided to create my own virtual stage by hosting my own events. Choosing a different topic of interest and inviting entrepreneurs to join me proved to be one of the best years for connecting with new people
