We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Camila Mejia and Juliana Mejia. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Camila Mejia and Juliana Mejia below.
Camila and Juliana, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
It all began in 2018 when Juliana, with over 15 years of experience in the marketing and event professional industry, decided to start something extraordinary— An experiential marketing company that would redefine the game. Fast forward to 2019, and her sister Camila, joined the ride as a partner. With a background in industrial and systems engineering, she brought operational expertise and a shared passion for transforming businesses into forces for good.
By 2020, we officially became co-founders of what CADA is today—The Purpose-Driven Consultancy facilitating the world’s transition towards an existence conscious of sustainable responsibility and holistic wellness. This was no ordinary shift; it was a strategic move towards a broader spectrum of services. We returned to the drawing board and re-created our business plan. Digital marketing, business consultation, educational newsletters, cultural initiatives, blogs, and activations became our tools to reimagine strategies with personalized content.
Our journey was shaped by family ties, strong values, and a commitment to making a positive impact. The boutique-style approach ensured clients received undivided attention, acknowledging that one size doesn’t fit all.
The key clients and partners, from Belmond to Creed, Sinesia Karol, 1 Hotel, and others joined our CADA family, testifying to the success of our purpose-driven approach.

Camila Mejia and Juliana Mejia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Juliana: I’m Juliana Mejia, the CEO and creative behind CADA Consult. My journey into this industry started over 15 years ago, working with retail giants like CBRE, Simon Property, and Miami Design District. There, I developed campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and luxury brands in unique locations.
In 2018, I decided to take the leap and started CADA. The idea was to create out-of-this-world experiences, designs, and campaigns that resonated with people more deeply.
What sets us apart? We’re not just about business and results but also about purpose and Holistic Marketing. I’m most proud of the transformation CADA has undergone after 2020, and the impact we’ve made through our boutique-style approach. It ensures personalized attention to our partners and community, and I want our potential clients to know that we’re here to scale and enhance their brands with intention and care.
Camila:
I’m Camila Mejia, the Chief Operations Officer and strategist at CADA. My journey started with a background in industrial engineering and environmental consultation, working with companies like GE and EcoLab. My passion for the environment and humanity has always been at the forefront of my work.
I oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on-budget. I have a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring results and ROI.
What makes us unique? We’re not just a consultancy; we’re a family. The partnership between Juliana and me embodies collaboration and a shared vision. I’m proud of our evolution from experiential marketing agency to a full-fledged consultancy. We work closely to ensure projects align with our client’s values and goals while positively impacting society and the environment.
Together, Juliana and I form a dynamic duo committed to making CADA Consult a beacon of positive growth in the business world.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
One significant pivot for us was in 2020 when the world faced unprecedented challenges. Initially known for hosting experiential pop-ups and partnership events, we had to reassess our approach and adapt to the changing landscape.
With the onset of the global pandemic, large-scale events and in-person activations became impractical. It was a defining moment for us to pivot from the traditional experiential marketing model to a more digitally focused strategy. We embraced the shift wholeheartedly, transitioning to offer a broader spectrum of services, including digital marketing, business consultation, educational newsletters, cultural initiatives, blogs, and activations.
This pivot allowed us to navigate the challenges posed by the pandemic and opened up new avenues for us to connect with our audience meaningfully. It reinforced our commitment to staying agile and responsive to change, ensuring that CADA remained at the forefront of innovative and purpose-driven business solutions.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Our journey is marked by moments that demanded resilience, and one that stands out occurred during the transition from an experiential marketing company to a full-fledged consultancy. During this time, our resilience shone through in our ability to pivot swiftly and strategically. We didn’t let the magnitude of the shift overwhelm us; instead, we saw it as an opportunity to redefine our path. This experience reinforced our commitment to sustainability, adaptability, and purpose-driven practices.
Our resilience isn’t just about bouncing back; it’s about thriving in adversity. It’s an integral part of the CADA spirit, ensuring that we not only endure challenges but emerge from them more resilient, creative, and ready to tackle whatever comes our way.
