We recently connected with Camila Alter and have shared our conversation below.
Camila, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I wanted to pursue a creative path when I was 15. I was in secondary and I realized I wanted to be a graphic designer. That was my goal and now, as a proffesional, I love my carreer.
Camila, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started my path as a graphic designer when I was 18, it was all new then. I was fascinated by everything I was learning. At the same time, I started to work in a graphic design agency to learn how this profession works. It was and still is fascinating for me all the things I’ve learned. My favorite field in graphic design is branding. I create brands from cero and that’s the most exciting thing for me because I watch how it starts and how it comes to life. I talk with my clients about the goals that they have and what are they looking for. I create everything.
What I am most proud of is to understand what my clients want and need for their brands and to make it real. It’s amazing to watch the brands grow and see them in the market after all the work that I have done.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I created my agency when I started to have clients and have tons of work to show. I opened an Instagram showing my work, also posting quotes of inspiring graphic designers for me, and started to make my community. If there is any advice for those just starting to build a social media presence is to be constant, don’t give up and be proud of your work.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My particular goal is to grow and know every day more about graphic design because is not only my career but is my passion and my life. Everything I see, everywhere I go, I want to know more about everything.
