We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cameron Walden a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Cameron, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
In an industry flooded with moving companies solely focused on profit, I’ve built something different: a business founded on integrity and reliability. Growing up without privilege, I know the value of hard work. My mission is simple: to demonstrate to our customers that there’s a company that genuinely cares, one that consistently surpasses expectations. At our core, we flourish through exceptional service and customer satisfaction.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hello, my name is Cameron, but most people call me Cam. I was introduced to the concept of hard work at an early age. I applied it to my everyday activities and hobbies, one being the sport of basketball. It was my work ethic and dedication that provided me the opportunity to receive a free education as a collegiate athlete. Upon graduation, I decided it was time to find a new passion; one that would benefit others, as well as myself. I was introduced to the moving industry by a close friend and immediately fell in love with the craft. In this line of work, I am able to deliver quality work with a high level of professionalism.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Starting my business while juggling a full-time job was no easy feat. I remember those months of working seven days a week, pouring everything I had into both my job and my side hustle. Then, in June 2023, when my partner got accepted into medical school in Greenville, NC, it felt like fate was nudging me towards a new opportunity. We packed our lives and headed to Greenville, a city unfamiliar to us both.
Leaving my job in Raleigh meant diving headfirst into uncertainty. I scoured for new opportunities in Greenville, but nothing seemed promising enough to sustain us. That’s when I made the leap to go all-in on my business. Every dollar I had, every spare moment, went into researching and investing in my venture. I tried various advertising avenues, but it wasn’t until I hit the streets, personally promoting my business everywhere I could, that things started to turn around.
Walking into businesses, talking to anyone who would listen, shaking hands, and sharing what I do became my daily routine. It was a grassroots effort, but it worked. Slowly but surely, I began to see the fruits of my labor as the business started to grow organically.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
It’s a lesson that took some time to learn: “you don’t have to pay someone for something you can do yourself.” When starting a new business, every penny counts. That’s why I took matters into my own hands when it came to my social media presence. Creating content accounts across all platforms was a game-changer. I make sure to stay active, posting as much engaging content as possible to connect with our community. Social media has become a powerful tool, reaching everyone from casual scrollers to potential clients. I focus on crafting content that’s enjoyable for all, knowing that each post brings us one step closer to success.
