We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cameron Kaiser. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cameron below.
Cameron, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I started off with photography. I think I got my first camera when I was around 15 years old. I enjoy doing photography for a couple years but I felt I was never really the best at it so I eventually got into videography. Once I started doing that more and more I really enjoyed the workflow of it. I think to speed up my learning process I could have Gone out more and practiced filming which I’d consider I did a lot but as any other creative artist knows That we all go through stages, where we are very unmotivated to go out and make projects. One of the skills that I think is most essential for being a videographer or anyone in a similar aspect, is having a creative mind being able to play out in your head exactly what you want to capture is a huge part of really being creative.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a 24-year-old videographer from Minnesota. I do professional weddings from time to time but most of the time I focus on my own work such as YouTube videos, TikTok videos in Instagram I don’t really have much of a niche when it comes to filmmaking I like filming cars people, adventure, travel, weddings, and most of all I love flying my drone. I recently just got into FPV drones, which is first person view drones and it is completely manual flying where you can do flips and rolls so that has been a lot of fun learning that lately in regards to what I want to see in my future, I want to be able to make my own brand and have videography be a full-time job and not just a hobby. One of the things I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown in the past couple years I went from a couple hundred followers on Instagram to now over 3000. I have also gone from zero followers on TikTok now to over 65,000. And YouTube has been one of my main dreams, and I have been slowly gaining more and more subscribers each week which is an awesome feeling.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to become a YouTuber, which pretty much means I will be able to film whatever I want whenever I want and post it on my channel and have that be my full-time job. I also would like to be a professional drone pilot I really wouldn’t complain about any sort of thing I need to fly the drone for I just love flying drones and I think that would be fun.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
The thing I’ve noticed was social media is they appreciate consistency if you’re consistently posting two or three times a week, and it’s always good high-quality content, there is no doubt you will continue to grow. Also, I would suggest sticking to one subject. For example, if you were into knitting, I would only post knitting content, and not stay away from that and post something totally random that your followers might not be interested in.
