We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cam Munoz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Cam, thanks for joining us today. Do you feel you or your work has ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized? If so, tell us the story and how/why it happened and if there are any interesting learnings or insights you took from the experience?
Yes, I’ve definitely experienced moments where my work or intentions were misunderstood. As an entrepreneur and influencer, there are times when people perceive my focus on balancing my business with my personal life, like being a mom and running my own brand, as a lack of seriousness or commitment. However, the reality is that I’m very dedicated to both my family and my business.
What I’ve learned from these experiences is the importance of setting clear boundaries and being open about my priorities. I’ve realized that while others may misunderstand my balance, it’s actually my ability to juggle multiple aspects of my life that makes my work authentic.
It’s what allows me to connect with my audience on a deeper level, both through my personal brand and my business. Staying true to myself and embracing all of who I am—mom, entrepreneur, influencer—has been a key to overcoming those misunderstandings and continuing to build a brand that reflects my vision and values.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started my journey as a UGC creator in the beauty and lifestyle niches and eventually expanded back into entrepreneurship. My passion for creativity and sharing my personal experiences online led me to pursue building a brand that reflects my interests, values, and a commitment to helping people express their individuality.
What sets Mirko Market apart is the balance we strike between personal touch and professional execution. As a mom and wife, I understand the importance of catering to diverse needs, whether through providing a stylish product, creating a seamless shopping experience, or offering designs that speak to the personalities and lifestyles of my customers. My goal is to create products that not only protect your phone but also enhance your sense of style and self-expression.
I’m incredibly proud of the journey that brought me here—starting out as a micro-influencer and UGC creator, growing into a small business owner, and eventually launching my own brand. It’s been an amazing experience seeing my visions come to life, and I’m excited about the future of Mirko Market as it continues to grow.
For my supporters, I want them to know that I’m deeply committed to quality, creativity, and authenticity. I believe in staying true to myself while also striving to help others find products that resonate with them. Whether you’re purchasing a phone case or following me for inspiration, I’m here to encourage you to embrace your individuality, stay confident, and always be your best self.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
As a creative, one thing I think non-creatives might struggle to understand is the constant balance between passion and practicality. It can be easy to think that creativity flows naturally, but there’s so much behind the scenes that requires strategy, organization, and sometimes even sacrificing personal time to make the vision a reality. For me, as a business owner and content creator, I’m always juggling my passions for beauty, lifestyle, and entrepreneurship with the practical side of managing a brand like Mirko Market, which requires a lot of planning, decision-making, and time management.
What non-creatives might not realize is that the work never stops—whether it’s crafting new ideas for my phone case collections, staying up-to-date with trends, or even just finding ways to connect with my audience in meaningful ways. But the biggest takeaway is that creativity isn’t just about the ideas; it’s about consistently showing up, being disciplined, and learning to embrace the grind while staying aligned with what truly matters to you. That’s where the magic happens.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Earlier in my creative journey, I wish I’d discovered the power of networking with fellow creators and industry professionals. It’s been crucial for growing my brand, Mirko Market, and collaborating with others. I also wish I had more knowledge on content creation strategies and the balance between paid vs. gifted opportunities for UGC creators before I started my UGC journey.
