We were lucky to catch up with Calli Ramler recently and have shared our conversation below.
Calli, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
After 14 years in the funeral home profession, approaching 40, raising three children, running a business, and trying to be present in my marriage and friendships I noticed a decline in my mental health and physical health.
I was blessed with incredible, supportive parents who taught me the importance of healthy living and hard work. But as life became fuller and more demanding, many of those health foundations quietly slipped away. I needed to get back to the simple foundations of health- restorative sleep, whole food diet, exercise and healthy social connections. I was tired, undernourished, and lost my overall sense of balance. After talking with several friends, I realized I wasn’t alone. So many women were pushing through stress, exhaustion, and inflammation with very little support for true recovery.
I wanted a space where people could go for nervous system regulation and recovery. After researching the benefits of infrared sauna, red light therapy and lymphatic health- Radiant Reset Lounge was born.
I reached out to a few turnkey franchises centered around sauna and red light therapy, but Dubuque’s population size didn’t meet their market requirements. That was the moment I realized that if our community was going to have access to these recovery tools, I would have to create it myself.
Radiant Reset offers red light therapy, infrared sauna and the Flowpresso lymphatic drainage suit, three tools that I wholeheartedly believe in to complete a healthy life-style. Together, they support circulation, detoxification, immunity, nervous system balance, relaxation, and overall recovery—things our bodies desperately need in a high-stress world.
Radiant Reset isn’t just a wellness studio. It’s my way of helping people take care of their bodies now—before they reach the point where health becomes something they wish they had prioritized sooner.
If my time in the funeral profession taught me anything, it’s this: our health is our most valuable asset, and the time to care for it is today.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Work ethic is something I learned early in life from my hardworking parents. My grandfather built a successful funeral home in my hometown of Dubuque, Iowa, and growing up in my family’s business I saw firsthand what dedication, responsibility, and serving your community truly looked like. My dad often reminded me, “If you take care of it, it will take care of you.” That mindset shaped how I approached both my career and my life.
I followed in my Dad’s footsteps and spent 14 years working in the funeral profession. It’s meaningful work that gives you a unique perspective on life, time, and what really matters. As my own life evolved—with marriage, three children, and the responsibilities of business ownership—my interests and passions began to shift as well.
Like many people, I had spent years in the constant grind- busy schedules, caffeine-fueled days, and running on empty. But as I approached 40, I began to crave something different. I started valuing slower mornings, time with my family, consistent exercise, and the importance of taking care of myself.
That curiosity led me into the world of recovery and wellness modalities like red light therapy, infrared sauna, and lymphatic drainage. As I researched the science and experienced the benefits myself, I realized how powerful these tools could be in helping people support their health, reduce stress, and restore balance.
One thing I want clients to understand is that these tools are meant to complement a healthy lifestyle—not replace the foundations. Quality sleep, whole food nutrition, movement, and stress management will always come first. But when paired with those habits, recovery modalities can significantly optimize the way we feel and function.
I’m proud of the risk I took in opening Radiant Reset Lounge. It’s a business that was built with the support of my parents, friends, like-minded women, and the Dubuque community. More than anything, I hope Radiant Reset becomes a place where people can step away from the noise of daily life, take care of their bodies, and prioritize their health in a meaningful way.
How’d you meet your business partner?
Nicole and I grew up together in Dubuque, Iowa. After attending different high schools and colleges Nicole and I reconnected when she and her husband moved back to Dubuque. Although we are separate businesses we shared a dream of creating a space focused on health, wellness and aesthetics. After many hours chatting over coffee (and wine) we decided to take a risk and offer our business ventures in one location. Nicole offers medical aesthetics, IV infusions and GLP-1 medication while I currently provide infrared sauna, red light therapy and Flowpresso lymphatic drainage suit. I highly recommend working alongside friends and people you truly enjoy.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Besides the influence of my grandfather and parents, listening to podcasts, reading books, and following inspiring entrepreneurs have all contributed to my entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy. One book that had a significant impact on me was The 5 Pillars of Wealth. It encouraged me to re-evaluate what success truly means and think more intentionally about how I want to build both my career and my life.
I also enjoy listening to business and mindset advice from entrepreneurs like Gary Vaynerchuk. His perspective on work ethic, social media, and taking risks really resonates with me. One of the biggest lessons I’ve taken from him is the importance of letting go of what other people think and focusing on what you want.
I believe success comes from staying curious, taking risks, continuing to learn, and surrounding yourself with people who challenge you to become better every day.
