We were lucky to catch up with Caleb Lowry recently and have shared our conversation below.
Caleb, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The most meaningful project I have worked on is definitely Lagmind’s full length album ‘Attend’. This project took us four years to finish. Mainly because the members of Lagmind recorded this project rather than recording in a studio.
Caleb, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I moved from upstate New York to Houston,TX back in March of 2013 looking for more musical opportunities. Lagmind came together In May of 2013 when I met Johnny and Gavin. Since then we have been playing shows and recording music around town.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Early on in the journey I wish I had known more about recording and when I should step back and be willing to hire and an audio engineer.
Is there a mission driving your creative journey?
My main focus with Lagmind is to release the best possible recordings. Playing live can be cool but I really put alot more effort into making the albums rather than spending time focused on how the live performances come across.
