We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Caitlin Wible. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Caitlin below.
Caitlin, appreciate you joining us today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
I started this business as a creative outlet to pull myself out of Postpartum Depression. I became a stay at home mom after having my second child and struggled with Postpartum Depression to the point where I wouldn’t leave the house to even go on a short walk or run simple errands. I have always made smaller balloon garlands for my own children or helped friends with balloon garlands for their events. I told my husband I was officially launching Balloons by Cait Wible to our neighbors and close friends in hopes of forcing myself to get out of the house and use this creative outlet to change up my routine and my mindset. Thanks to supportive neighbors and friends my name started spreading around and as I slowly perfected my craft and techniques my portfolio and client base grew and grew.
Caitlin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I create custom backdrops and balloon decor for any event/occasion, from small birthday parties to upscale corporate events and everything in between. My clients sometimes have a vision of their own and I help them execute that plan, and some of my clients have a theme but want my creative vision. I will send examples and mock ups to help my clients choose what is best for their events. My attention to detail sets me apart from others because I go above and beyond to make sure every detail is perfect.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to make people feel something when they see my work, whether its joy, excitement, or that little ‘wow’ moment. Balloons might seem simple, but when styled intentionally they can completely transform a space and create memories that last. My mission is to keep pushing myself creatively while building a brand that bring beauty, fun, and connection to every event.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of what I do is seeing my clients light up when they see the final set up. That moment when they walk into the space and their face lights up says it all. That’s everything to me. I pour so much love and detail into each design, so knowing it helped make their day extra special makes all the hard work worth it. Whether it’s a birthday, a shower, or a grand opening, being part of those moments and creating something they will remember forever is the best feeling in the world.
