We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Caitlin Cimino a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Caitlin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I began making jewelry 12 years ago, after a car accident led me to having unexpected shoulder surgery. It was one of those unique moments that comes from life taking a surprising turn that creates an opening in your life story.
While I was recovering from surgery I began playing with making jewelry. During that time of play and healing I had no foresight that the car accident was to be the perfect catalyst I needed in life to find a deep creative passion, a passion which I had been searching for. I eventually moved to Firenze, Italia to study jewelry fabrication and that continued the intricate weaving of my jewelry journey.
12 years later and my jewelry aesthetic has transformed and lived many lives. Their intentional heart however, has remained the same.

Caitlin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Caitlin Cimino and I am the founder and jeweler of Earth of PRINI.
Earth of PRINI is a brand of eco-conscious fine jewelry that marks pivotal moments in our life journey.
Each adornment is created while weaving an intention or reminder to bring us back to our inner knowing.
Throughout our life, all experiences are an unraveling, bringing us back Home or back to Self. Self being everything and nothing or pure consciousness. As we shed layers of societal norms and untruths we tell ourselves we slowly come back to our inner peace, our original essence.
Through these learnings, sometimes mantras or intentions are helpful reminders of returning us to that peaceful space within.
Earth of PRINI jewelry serve us as beautiful, unique and tangible mantras or intentions to adorn ourselves in.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
There have been several times my body needed a rest and to disconnect from creating for a period of time. Not listening to these subtle pulls never served me well, I found each time I would end up sick or injured. Our inner knowing is always giving us nudges and if we don’t pay attention our body will always intervene, sooner or later. I once ignored the pulls for so long that I injured my hands and had to leave jewelry for a year.
That year however, proved to be beneficial (again, it’s all perspective). It gave me an opportunity to fill my cup back up and I learned what those inner pulls feel like. Now when I sense the pulls I disconnect from technology and go into nature for however long I need. I do not subscribe to the western work mentality that ultimately leads to burnout and missing the beauty in the here and now. I encourage myself and others to take time for yourself to let the outer noise drown out.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I’ve always stayed true to myself through my jewelry. What I mean by that is lessons from my own inner journey echo through my creations and I’ve found that people who resonate with Earth of PRINI also connect with self-growth and expansion. I know this because for 12 years I have received messages from people sharing their own unique stories of growth and life learnings and how it’s those experiences that connect them to Earth of PRINI. It’s a gift to receive these messages and is the thread that keeps Earth of PRINI true since the beginning.
