We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cait Cassagne a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Cait, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s something crazy on unexpected that’s happened to you or your business

One of the craziest stories would be when Spoiled Bitch Dog Boutique’s Reactive Dog Private Shopping Sessions went viral worldwide, several times! I had a couple who were very loyal customers but they would never come in with their Labradane, Raven. They told me that her 11th birthday was coming up and I knew I had to get her into the store. Raven is reactive to other dogs. So I opened i\up my doors before normal store hours for her, locked them behind her, and let her enjoy her birthday with the entire store all to herself! I filmed a few clips of it just because I am always posting on socials. I created a reel, posted it on instagram and all of a sudden my phone would not stop pinging. It was going viral! I was sitting at a Super Bowl party the next day with family and I knew I had to create it as a service. I posted the service during Super Bowl and then my emails started coming in by the 100’s. It was insanely overwhelming. But so awesome at the same time. And ever since then I have been privately spoiling reactive pups from all over!

I always have had a huge love for dogs. I always was the ‘big dog lover” and the “girl at the party hanging out with the dogs”. In 2022, I adopted and 8 week old American Bully that was left on the side of the road at 3 weeks old. Porter is my love and joy! He saved me when I was at my lowest. I truly don’t know what I’d do without him. He is the entire reason behind Spoiled Bitch Dog Boutique. I was spoiling him so much and I loved finding the cutest toys and the yummiest treats for him that I knew other dogs should feel the same happiness Porter felt! We have tons of unique toys, treats, accessories and so much more! We went viral worldwide for our reactive dog private shopping sessions.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?

Treat them like family. Get to know them. Care for them and be there for them. They are helping you grow your baby. Be kind to your team. If they need help, help them. Their appreciation then shows in their work. I have created amazing relationships with my entire team.
