Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to C. Pop. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi C., thanks for joining us today. Any thoughts around creating more inclusive workplaces?
Creating a more inclusive workplace starts with building a strong community within your team. When you’re working toward a goal, having a supportive network behind you makes all the difference. It’s important to invest and nurture your key players- people who not only bring value but also uplift and strengthen the collective vision.
Too often, I’ve seen individuals burn bridges over pettiness and greed, not realizing that there’s always more money and success to be made together. Treating every single person with respect no matter their status is not only the right thing to do but it can also place you in rooms unimaginable which I have personally experienced. I used to try to do everything on my own until I became part of the Bestway2smoke Podcast team. The experience teaches me the power of collaboration. We constantly lift each other up, support one another’s weaknesses, and challenge each other to grow. We’ve built a culture where coaching, healthy debates and accountability are the norm. While all too often in our industry we watch partnerships fall apart or are in it for the wrong reasons, our team continues to block out the noise and keep our eyes on positive growth.
True inclusivity means creating a space where people feel valued, heard and empowered to contribute. It’s about recognizing that when one person falls, the team is there to help them get back up. If you want to create a workplace that thrives, focus on community first-because success is always greater when shared.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I was built for the grind. Growing up with parents who were foster parents with a houseful, she quickly learned that if she wanted something, she had to go out and get it herself. Hammy-down clothing and humility were her family’s norm, so my cousins and I became young entrepreneurs, flipping whatever we could—from snacks to small hustles—just to get the things our family couldn’t afford.
As we got older, we paid close attention to what our community needed, always looking for ways to turn pennies into dollars. While some of my cousins took a more ruthless path, diving into the drug trade, I found myself unknowingly stepping into the world of marketing which ultimately saved my life. Small business owners started recruiting me for projects, recognizing my natural talent for strategy and promotion before I even understood what “marketing” really was.
Over time, my passion for the hustle evolved into a career, and I expanded my expertise across industries like fitness, media, and legal cannabis. Teaming up with brands such as Bestway2smoke Podcasts has helped me have more of a voice to what I do and connecting me to the entertainment industry. There I get a chance to educate our viewers in a way that merges where we have come from to our growth and where we are heading. The platform has been an introduction to many different level events, red carpet appearances and capturing the eyes of the fashion industry and uncensored radio.
Stepping into 2025 I have officially launched my Public Relations Firm and dropped a publication called The C.Pop! Insider- celebrating innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and fashion (www.cpopinsider.com). Getting the inside scoop of all of the hottest events and upcoming influencers, my goal is to uplift that inner child that had to go get it but now with a supportive team behind them. Now, with years of experience under my belt and building a solid team, I have succeeded the art of turning ideas into profitable brands. Success isn’t about where you start—it’s about how you move.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I am currently trying to unlearn especially coming out of the pandemic was being okay with not always having a “plate full”. I came to California by myself from the East Coast 4 months prior to the pandemic. Just like the rest of the world my plans all came to a Hult. My hustle at that point came from survival and feeling the need to take on everything. I never said no. Operating in survival mode means reacting to immediate pressures and challenges just to get by. In this state, decisions are often driven by urgency, stress or necessity rather than strategy and purpose. Learning to be intentional with my time, set boundaries and to take my necessary rest without feeling guilty has been my 2025 goal.
Shifting from survival mode to intentional living allows me to create opportunities rather than just respond to circumstances. This allows me to nurture my projects and relationships I am building properly with less error, leading to better long-term outcomes.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
My mindset and habits changed tremendously when I started listening to Audio books. One of my favorites must haves are 50 Cents “Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter”. I love 50 as an artist but he is also one of my favorite entrepreneurs. He’s consistent and always keeps it uncut giving you what you need to hear vs want to hear. I read his book when I was at a stagnant point and didn’t know how to pivot. Needless to say, his book gave me the fire to keep going.
