We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Byron Ford. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Byron below.
Alright, Byron thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Staying humble on your journey and therefore enjoying the journey. You can find success in the middle of whatever it is you’re doing before you even reach your end goal. Remaining in your purpose and focusing on Christ will make your ways prosperous and guarantee success.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Coolness is the brand. Coolness LLC is my company and we have a clothing division and a music division. Our record label is Coolness Music/Coolness Records. As far as clothing we have many different selections including hoodies, shirts, sweatpants and hats. I have always wanted to wear things that represent me so it was only right that I started my own clothing brand and started wearing my own clothes. We have several collections available on our website CoolnessForever.com and there is something there for everyone. As far as the music side, I recently released my first solo Album on December 2nd, “500 Notes 12 Bars”. We have been doing music for a while now but all of my work and creativity needed to be under one company and my own brand so I made the record label official shortly after the clothing. Dooney is an affiliate of the label and brand as a whole and we have a collab EP called “Goku & Kakarot” out now as well. The things I most proud of are the brand itself and the fact that everytime I do something it’s being done under something I created. Every piece of work is a success story and a proud moment. The entire journey is a proud moment. I Love the journey.
Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I sell on my site CoolnessForever.com I think there are only pros Ever doing this because people land on your site and everything is about your brand and they can feel like they are directly interacting with you and the brand. There’s an online connection that draws them back to the site. Amazon is great but there’s a difference between going on Amazon and hitting search to look up items and being on the actual website of the company. Although you’re buying the same things, people can bookmark and favorite your site.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Me just bring me. I’m real and everything we do is authentic and people Love the lifestyle. These days people will support your business just because they like you as a person. Keeping people involved in some way will boost your reputation simply because they feel a part of the journey. That’s a big part of marketing as well.
