Busola, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Royalle Affairs is best known for its organized events. We specialize in Weddings (Traditional, Western Ceremonies and Receptions), birthday parties, and intimate gatherings.
What sets us apart is our attention to detail and the ability to improvise when necessary, Often times, things don’t always go as planned but how we handle disappointments and deterrent is what matters. Most of the vendors we work with can testify to how meticulous we are at our events, we take great pride in making all guests feel comfortable and most importantly, making our clients feel like royalty on their day. I have a great team that understands my vision and they are always willing to go over and beyond to make things happen.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My name is Busola Kalejaiye and I am the owner of Royalle Affairs Event Planning. My love for event planning started at a very young age. Growing up, I celebrated my birthday the most among my siblings and I had a way of persuading my mum to throw me a birthday party. I would make sure to be a part of the planning process which includes but not limited to selecting the vendors as well as selecting my outfit and that of my siblings.
Event Planning is a passion of mine, and most clients can tell from the first phone call they have with me. Being able to bring a vision or dream to reality is what I live for.

Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?
In March of 2022, I opened an Event Center called “The RA Event Center” located in Minneapolis, Mn. It can sit up to 150 guests banquet style and up to 200 cocktail. The hall is fully draped in white from floor to ceiling and the rental includes white and gold Dior chairs, customized uplights and down lights, set up and tear down. Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Growing up, I was fascinated with airplanes and always wondered how these huge birds get up in the air. I decided to get a degree in Aerospace Engineering since it was offered at the college I attended and I loved it. I worked as a Systems Engineer for multiple defense companies for over 10 years but while I worked as an Engineer, I would always plan and host events for fun and for free for my friends and family. Birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, and weddings to name a few.
I realized after working in the corporate world for over 15 years that it was best I worked for myself. I officially started planning events in 2014 and I haven’t looked back since then.
