We were lucky to catch up with Bunny Hedaya recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Bunny, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with what makes profitability in your industry a challenge – what would you say is the biggest challenge?
There are some influencers that have millions of followers but don’t make any money on social media and then there’s influencers who have 100,000 followers and make over $1 million a year. The difference is the way that you market yourself and the type of content that you post. If a brand can’t see how their content would fit in your every day ✨Style then they’re much less likely to reach out to you. At the end of the day, controversial or more shocking things gets views but it’s similar to a work environment that if you don’t post professional content, don’t expect a professional salary.

Bunny, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve always wanted to put more good into the world. I recently started a podcast with my husband called Rich mom Rich, dad where we share financial tips and tricks on how to set up your financial future from the beginning stages like how to set up investment accounts too Long-term investment goals. I also have an app launching soon that helps release trauma in the body. I think that it’s awesome to get aI also have a app launching soon that helps release trauma in the body. I think that it’s awesome to get a lot of views in a lot of eyes on you, but what are you doing with it?

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I know it’s a little cliché, but the best way to build an audience is to be yourself. You’re gonna burn out if you try to be anything else. It really doesn’t matter the size of the audience. It’s more of the quality of the followers and people that are engaged with you. If people don’t feel connected to you then the value of your followers dip. I personally don’t think that this business is for everyone. Just like I don’t think being an entrepreneur is for everyone. Some people really thrive in having a set schedule and doing certain tasks during the day and then shutting off And living their life. I think we’re all unique and there’s certain jobs that fit people more than others. You really have to have a passion for this and feel like you have something to say every single day when you’re just being your authentic self people will follow. It may take a little bit, but consistency is key and you have to have really, really, really thick skin. If you wanna be a successful influencer, you have to move from the like/dislike phase to hate/love. People are going to hate you and people are going to love you and you have to be OK with people hating you.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson that I had to unlearn was not every rumor needs a response. I think sometimes when people start making rumors or comments about you, you get defensive and want to prove people that they’re wrong but at the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter and people can think what they wanna think
