Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bum Roots Project. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Bum Roots, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

The most meaningful project for us is anything we find ourselves currently working on in the moment, whether that’s rehearsing for an event, playing a gig, or working on our next releases. We try to be as focused on current and upcoming goals as we can.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Bum Roots Project came into existence in 2019. Formed by Chris Tracy & Riley Winters in the lower valleys of Southern California. We are a passionate group of musicians working to bring a positive message through our music and liven up the culture of American Reggae.

BRP, for short, can be found playing music from the San Diego shores to LA industry nights and everywhere in between. We call the Inland Empire our home. Our first official EP, “Working Class Bums” will be releasing late 2023. Streaming everywhere.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?

There has been a ever growing shift in the music industry as a whole over the last decade. The access to music is more vast then its ever been for the listener, and the access for artists to put it into the world is outstanding. We can make a song and have it into the world within 4 weeks. But who will listen? The best way to support an artist in this day and age is to share them to your social media platforms, blogs, and in real life circumstance.

As a society, people could begin by understanding the efforts that go into any medium of art or music. Most artists are introverts by nature, which makes marketing an internal battle that few can accomplish. The work it takes to create our art leaves little room to properly get it into peoples hands.

To creat a thriving creative ecosystem, we encourage supporters to share and interact with anything their favorite artists and creators are putting into the universe.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

BRP has one goal. Unity by music.
