We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brycen Metzger a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brycen thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Well I can’t really say that there has just been one project that changed everything for me, because I would be lying. I will say though that I think one of the most meaningful things that has impacted where I am now, is those personal projects.
It is so easy to get caught up in work, or caught up in day to day life, that we forget to make time to create things that we actually want to create. It is the only way to get better, but also to carry that same drive you had when you started.
I personally hit a point in my life that I was on a high. I was doing exactly what I wanted to do everyday and nothing could get better! but that time ended for a little bit, which ended up leaving me in a rut.
I took that time off to create things that I wanted to create, and learn things at my own pace the way I wanted to learn them. Which in the end made me better then I ever have been.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Brycen, and I am a 19 year old travel creator. I was an extreme sports athlete for a few years of my life and slowly transitioned into content creation.
I was able to become a creator through partnering with brands through social media to not only build a portfolio, but also boost my knowledge of this new world I was entering.
I am a travel photographer who specializes in product, concert, lifestyle, and outdoor photography, As well as videography.
Something that sets me apart from others is my distinct moody vibrant style. Something that is very noticeable when seen on your social pages.
One of the things I am most proud of is my constant progression when it comes to my creative workflow.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My answer is very stereotypical, but knowing that I truly can make my in quote dream job happen.
Knowing that if I actually put in the hard work to get where I want to be in life, I will get there.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
In general people want to be treated in a way that makes them feel good. Instead of focusing on making the money, focus on making the person who is paying you feel the most happy they have ever been.
