We recently connected with Bryce The Third and have shared our conversation below.
Bryce , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
The biggest risk I’ve ever taken was betting on myself! I stopped my entire life to pursue sobriety. (Coming up on 10 years sober) I left a high paying job to create a life where I’d not only be paid MORE than well, but one in which I’d be enthusiastic about what I do. Enthusiasm is one of opportunity’s best friends. I knew I had the potential to create a space where I could professionally lean into my comparative advantages, I just didn’t know how. We’re not yet taught that where I come from so I had to figure it out by prioritizing ACTION and learning as I go. I’ve continuously had to build the plane while flying it and I’m proud to say that we just keep flying higher!

Bryce , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Ha! I’ve been called a renaissance man.
Those that know me and have worked with me know that foundation underlying everything I create is STORYTELLING. I use words, music, media, mindfulness…really whatever I can get my hands on to move people into ACTION.
If I could instill one thing in the hearts and minds of anybody who comes across and invests in anything I create, it’d be understanding and compassion. Okay that’s two things but you get it! I believe that you don’t have to sacrifice being a good person to yourself and others in order to leave your mark on the world.
Using nothing but the resources at my fingertips and an ever growing community of supporters, I’ve been able to pull myself out of the depths of addiction, poverty mindset and hopelessness and into some of THE most important rooms in American artistry & innovation.
I aim to contribute to the ever-growing spaces where anybody can learn to do the same, ESPECIALLY those who come from the neighborhood. I aim to be that reference point that I so desperately needed as I was pulling myself up and out!
I’m the Founder Grow, Develop, Evolve ( A podcast & personal growth community ) and my mission is to create impactful moments that inspire self compassion in the hearts and processes of those seeking to become better versions of themselves.
Whether delivering a keynote and providing mentorship with organizations such as the Eastside Community Network or The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, writing books like my self published personal development book titled “The Handook: A pocket guide for creating your desired reality (and being a good human while you’re at it)”, creating content for social media or producing the music that becomes the soundtrack to your GROWTH journey….
I’m here to make sure you have the tools to evolve!

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I think we need support. We need to be encouraged in the way that rewards the impact that our art creates. We need to have a conversation around what impact even is and what it looks like specifically for our craft and within our personal objectives.
There is SO much that I’ve had to learn from scratch, and to be honest, these days I feel more like a businessman/entrepreneur than I do an Artist. But I’ll ALWAYS introduce myself as a creative because we need that reference point of what it looks like to take this thing seriously and create high level impact in our Community and BEYOND.
The more I learn, the more I seek to share because we desperately need the knowledge.
You CAN build a career out of your art!
Begin to delve into what your comparative advantages are and learn what the organizations that you seek to work with consider to be a contribution.
In layman’s terms: What are you excited to offer and who is excited to pay for it?
We need to learn to seek to create projects that EVERYBODY walks away better from being a part of.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I would tune into my podcast “Grow, Develop, EVOLVE!” where weekly, my guests and I share what we’ve learned thus far that has propelled us into new mindsets and helped us to level up personally and professionally!
I’d would also suggest a book titled “Dark Horse” by Todd Rose.
If you’re in a season where you’re interested in discovering what you REALLY enjoy, are good at and have to offer professionally as well as how to place yourself in environments that will naturally create more opportunity for you and your specific talents and aptitudes…this one’s a game changer.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t recommend my own book “The Handbook: your pocket guide to creating your desired reality (and being a good human while you’re at it)” available now on Amazon

It’ll give you game and feed your soul!
