Bmaxx, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I knew I first wanted to pursue an artist path when i was young like around 10 I used to love to write stories especially for like school projects and eventually I started rhyming the words In the stories. Life events started happening to where I would start writing songs about them for instance I had a family member that passed away tragically literally changed my life and only outlet I had was to try to write a songs about him. When I was younger I was a fan of T.I. Ludacris, Eminem and 50 cent and those Artist kindes of molded me into the lyricist I am today. Growing up my father was a music Producer/Engineer so I watched many different artist in and out of his studio. I also dealt with anxiety so I never knew when I would get the courage to display my skill set I didn’t know I would get on a stage in front of a crowd of people. But years later after continuously working on my craft I find my self comfortably creating songs and performing them on stage in front of all to see.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

So I go by BMaxx, I am a Hip hop and R&B artist / singer / performer / Songwriter. Growing up my father was in the music industry so I felt I was destined for it. In 2020 I released my first songs “I AM Legend” on SoundCloud, shortly after Bentley Records got in contact with me and offered me a Artist Development Deal in which they would distribute my music along with other services that would help me as new artist. Once I seen someone in the music industry took me serious the rest was history. As of now I provide music and content for my followers and fans to listen to and see. I just released my debut album “Time 2 Collect” now streaming on all platforms. I Also provide verses and hooks for artists who would like a feature and song writing for artist who would like help with their record I’m actively performing around the country for any promoters that need a act as well as TV music related TV shows. What sets me apart from other artists is I have my own lane i put a time and effort into my lyrics and content I strive to deliver a message with hopes that it will eventually reach and impact the majority. Most of my music is made to motivate people in a positive way. I’ve been through and felt a lot so I deliver it in a way listeners can relate. Emotion also takes a big part in my music to impact the listener. A proud moment of mine releasing my album earlier this year that literally displays slot of what’s mentioned in this article. Most recently I performed in New York for a TV Show Next 2 Rise with Representatives from Atlantic Records in attendance as well as recording a song in Atlantic Records Studio. That definitely is one of my most proud of moments. This year alone I have performed in New York , Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Toledo. And will be on tour performing in Arizona November of this year.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

On this creative Journey I really strive to make Timeless music like Michael Jackson, P. DIDDY Stevie Wonder just to name a few. A lot of the music they made will last til the end of time. So every song I create is aimed to be impactful to the listener. The reviews I have received from the my first album alone has driven me to make my 2nd album 100x better every life experience I feel I should transform into art that listeners around the world can feel and enjoy listening too.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?

I feel Society can be more open to different artist and not just one wave or Genre of music. We’re in a time right now where if you’re not creating music about Drill, Trap or Sex your music will more than likely get over looked by the majority. Just by listeners taking a chance on a different content of music I feel they will receive a message they can use and feel and other talented artists of different genres will get paid and develop and greater following which will help them get noticed or discovered. I just feel society needs a balance when it comes to the music there’s some very dope Artist that I would compare to diamonds in the rough.
