We recently connected with Bryce Blagrove and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Bryce, thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
I currently manage my own social media solely because I am very particular about how I want things to look and explaining that to someone else would be very difficult for me , so I would rather do it myself.
The results have been great so far I have not had any issues or complaints !
I would say definitely take your time with what you would like to do and don’t compare your journey to someone else’s as well. When I first started out I used to do that a lot but now I’m in my own lane and pace and enjoying every bit of what’s coming with this business journey.

Bryce, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi everyone my name is Bryce, I am 22 , and just graduated from college with my associates in graphic design , and I am a beginner clothing designer. I started making clothes in 2020 my senior of high school. I had painted on a pair of jeans for a friend for his birthday and it kind of blew up from there. Everyone wanted something done, so I took it a ran with it. I started off painting jeans which slowly turned into sewing and patch work , now I am creating pieces from scratch and working on neatness and different patterns as much as I can .
I think what sets me apart from everyone else is how different my style of clothing are. I’ve created pieces that people usually wouldn’t wear and I think that’s what attracts people to me.
I am most proud of how far and how much progression I have made during the last four years. I had a vision and even though it’s not moving as fast as I would like I definitely am enjoying everything I have created a long the way . Also how many people actually support me. I mean it’s crazy to me sometimes I feel like quitting but I have people who’ve been such a help to me, Pushing me to be better and to continue making clothes and getting to the point of owning a successful business. Without them I wouldn’t even have been continuing, and to the people that model for me as well ! They are the whole reason any of my clothing pieces are even being seen.
The main thing I want potential people to know about my brand is , I create for everyone and never cater to any specific person or group. Ever since I have started I knew I always wanted to create a brand where everyone could wear what they wanted. Because I know there’s been times where I seen something I would have liked to wear but couldn’t because they didn’t have my size or didn’t have the color I wanted etc.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I can say I honestly built my audience from getting my friends to repost my videos/photos and or from people I’ve met in public who were looking for something specific and couldn’t find it at any local stores or mall and needed someone who could recreate what they were looking for. So I end up giving them my instagram and showing them what I had created and they follow me or I’ll be wearing something I’ve made and they’ll ask where I got it from and I’ll tell them I made it and they’ll ask for my instagram, etc.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I would say, seeing how happy people become once they see the finished product. I always get scared making clothes because I always have in my head if they’re going to like it or hate it but when I see the way people light up when they see their clothes makes me super happy and continues to push me to keep going.
