Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bryan Waller. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Bryan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you find your key vendor or vendors? Maybe you can share the backstory and share some context and the relevant details to help us understand why you chose them, why they chose you, etc.
In the summer of 2020 I was looking to expand my business. I was searching for reputable Turkish manufacturers that could build rides to European and American standards. I came across Levant Lunapark Rides located in Ankara Turkey. I reached out to them and propose that I become their United States representative. They were thrilled with the idea and agreed to have ne sell their rides in the States. A few months later, I had my first sale with Cotaland in Texas. They purchased a wacky worm and a mini log flume. Ever since then business has been growing steadily and we are now up to 10 rides currently in America or coming to America soon.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started an Amusement industry in 2020. That’s the year. I started Ride Trader LLC. I built the website myself and started to reach out to clients and customers to broker New and Used Rides. The new rides come from Levent Lunapark in Turkey, the Used Rides primarily come from carnivals and parks in the United States and go to other US customers or sometimes international customers like Mexico. Within the last year, I’ve gotten into the Ride rental industry. I’ve been working with a large and reputable Carnival operator in the southeast to rent their rides out to VIP events, music, festivals, and other large events. We came in contact when I sold them log flume from the UK. They really liked my salesmanship and dedication so they hired me as a contractor to rent their rides out.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I found the best way to build clientele and also potential customers is to do a very good job. In this industry, it’s all about reputation and people will tell their friends in the industry about how good or bad you are. I’ve been recommended to multiple people. I’ve gotten multiple sales because of my attention to detail customer care and quality products.

Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?
Yes, my business has three main revenue streams one is Ride rentals through contracting with my partner carnival, this is a Commission based revenue stream. used Rides sales and New Ride sales, which are also both commission based revenue streams. The advantages I don’t have an inventory and I don’t have to hire any people. I can run it all by myself.
