We recently connected with Mack Roberts and have shared our conversation below.
Mack, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Talk to us about building your team? What was it like? What were some of the key challenges and what was your process like?
When first launching Mack Delfino Agencies back in 2016, I had assembled a small team off the strength of people believing in my vision. However, at that time as I was just a rookie entrepreneur with a bunch of big ideas. I had no clue what to teach, how to teach or get people to flat out be me! Eventually, I learned that understanding your why is one of the most important things to know when starting a business. Once I had clarity on my overall goals and how my business was to operate it became all the more easier to identify prime candidates to join my team and I could effectively transfer my knowledge and skills to them all while building a solid genuine business relationship.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
With one of the biggest global epidemics in history, Covid-19 being in full effect, so many people had to make drastic life changes. For those of us in the music industry, we took it pretty hard. From going out to meetings to connect with business partners and curating events, everything took a turn and I had to increase focus on a digital scale. Fortunately, Mack Delfino Agencies functions digitally but I had to find a way to still maintain the feel of a normal world while coming up with solutions for many problems and inconsistencies several artists around the globe faced. I had to shift to the role of an educator to effectively redirect clientele to invest more into digital services with digital continuation rather than real world mobility.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Building an online audience is no easy task. For me, it came down to 3 really important elements. 1. Content 2. Credibility & 3. Relevancy. Having these things in mind while developing a strategic digital rollout insures strong engagement. Having expertise in the music industry, I made sure to create content that was informative and helpful to the overall growth of an upcoming artists career.
