Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bryan Lyrics. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Bryan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
My current project, Dear Whoever, Sincerely Yours, would have to be the most meaningful project of my career so far. This album is based on real-life events that occurred with me or my brother. You won’t know whose story is being told at the time, but you can trust that it happened to one of us. Each story contains a lesson that can help someone during their journey in life. I consider myself a master storyteller and this is my first album fully devoted to that skill.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
They call me Bryan Witha Lyrics because I’m Bryan and I always keep lyrics with me. Bone thugs-n-harmony and Nas sparked my interest in how I could manipulate lyrics to paint a picture. I first began rapping when I was 14 years old. I remember being in the apartment hallways with my friends and spitting bars on the stairs. We would have books all over the hallway floors, hosting our very own cyphers.
As for products, I may be one of the last artists who still believes in selling hard copies of cd’s. For the new age crew, you can also stream all of my music through any online streaming service. My brother, J. Grizz, and I are an award-winning, beat-making team under the moniker, BeetBoyz Musik. Together we produce unique sounds for unique artists.
I am most proud of my tenacity. I never give up! If one person hears my message and takes something positive from it, I keep pushing forward. I refuse to stop doing what I not only love but am ridiculously talented at.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
The best way to support artists right now is to stream. You’re already paying for the service and streaming the mainstream artists, add the underground artists to your playlist.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I’ve been reading, Hustle Harder Hustle Smarter, by Curtis 50 cent Jackson. Most of his stories are relatable and I can see myself and others in the things that he’s saying. This book has been encouraging me to either step my game up in the areas I am slacking or push to continue what I’m doing well.
