Bryan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?
Looking back at the last 14 years, so so easy to forget why you’re on this journey. We all need to remind ourselves sometimes why we started and why we keep going. To remind myself, all I have to do is go read some of our customer success stories.
FINAFLEX has been a part of so many people’s health journeys. While we create tools that can help people along their path, their motivation and dedication to bettering themselves is truly inspiring. We are honored to be a part of anyone’s health journey, and it embodies why we do what we do. We want to see people become and happiest and healthiest version of themselves. It’s a humbling experience to be a part of, no matter how small our contribution, to their success.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
FINAFLEX was founded in 2008 by myself and my childhood best friend, Kyung Kim. We set out to change how the world views supplements and healthy snacks. We’ve always been committed to advancing the industry and defying expectations. We started off with traditional supplements, and have since branched out into a wide variety of supplements, snacks, and other industry innovations that are now sold worldwide.
During the pandemic, we decided that we wanted to control our own destiny, and started to manufacture our own products in-house. This is something that almost no one else in this domain is doing, and the risk has paid off! We spared no expense when it came to setting up the best testing and production standards that we could, going above and beyond industry standards. We founded this company on the principles of higher standards and better quality products, and we’re so proud that our production facility lives up to those values. We just got 3rd party GMP certified and we’re so excited for the start of this new and exciting chapter.
Our focus has always been one thing: innovation. That philosophy is embodied by our latest snack release, the Power Pie. We collaborated with MoonPie, and they’ve been the perfect partners for such a revolutionary journey. The snack is a high-protein version of their iconic MoonPie treat, and we’ve already been astounded by the success. People are loving this thing! I’m happy to be able to provide healthier options for people that still taste delicious.
How’d you meet your business partner?
My co-founder/business partner is my childhood best friend, Kyung. I was 8 years old and had just moved to Georgia from Los Angles, California. My first friend in my new area was his brother James, and when I went over to their house for the first time, I saw Kyung on the Nintendo absolutely crushing it. This kid was talented, so I knew I needed to get him on my team. We went on to become best of friends and even went so far as to go together to the University of Georgia together as walk-on football players.
After college, we decided to finally go into business together. In 2008, during the “Great Recession” (and while welcoming my first child), we took this crazy leap and started FINAFLEX. This massive risk has since grown into an internationally successful business and a lifelong partnership.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
We’re always trying to keep a positive attitude and dream big, and we’ve built a team based on these values. We have lots of ways that our business rewards high performers, and I think that this definitely keeps the team motivated. Whether it be a team outing, an award, or any other “reward” incentive, we’re always trying to show our team how much we appreciate their work.
At FINAFLEX, we have something that we call the “FLEX FACTOR”, which is the spirit of the company. It’s that extra mile that an employee might go, or the “out-of-the-box” idea that they bring to the table. It’s hard to define, but you know it when you see it, and that’s something that makes us truly special. These positive mindsets and shared ambition are incredibly motivating for the entire staff.
