We recently connected with Bryan Douglas and have shared our conversation below.
Bryan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
That is such a big question. Layers, it takes layers and balance. Passion to keep going even when you are tired, passion to keep pushing to have the best quality, cleanliest and most affordable products in the industry. (Whole still making money of course) I just always want to put out an amazing product. Turn every event into an experience and memory. This is what success looks like to me.
Bryan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
First, I am just a guy with a dream. I want everyone to be able to make memories. The goal is to make every parent look like a star or superhero in their child’s eyes, by not just giving them a party. Giving them something to always remember. Even if it is a bouncy house to bounce all day or a family movie night with our inflatable theaters. I love the way we have such a range of ideas to “bring to the party”. Bouncy houses, inflatable theaters, yard games, tables, chairs and more! The goal is to turn everyday events into amazing experiences.
Nothing brings me more joy then when I pull up with my 3 BIA trailer and everyone (adults included) get excited about the party I am bringing with me, It is truly magical the way we can turn an ordinary space into an arena of awesomeness!
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
After working a year of over time at my city of Raleigh job I realized that I had some money to invest in myself and family. I knew I wanted to build something that would grow and be family friendly.
A few weeks after I decided that I wanted to do something, but not having any idea what it was. I was spending quality time with the family, my niece
was bouncing on the furniture . Having the time of her life jumping on furniture even though she knows we aren’t allowed to jump on the couch. Suddenly the idea “Bounced” in my head. For the next few days, the idea stayed jumping in my head, I decided to “jump” with it. Ordered two bouncy houses, got insured, created my LLC and 3 Brothers was born!
It was really one of those things I was blessed with. I worked so hard that year. Literally just about every single day! I couldn’t just let my hard work just get spent on little every day things. I needed it to build for my family. I still cant believe it just bounced into my head like that!
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best new source is a very proud thing to share for me. It has been Word of Mouth! I am astonished at the number of repeat customers and referrals I get. I have gotten the opportunity to watch so many children grow through the years and even getting to watch families grow! It is really really awesome!
