We recently connected with Bryan Diver and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Bryan, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Our Psalms Project has been the most meaningful project I’ve worked on with Tristan and Aaron. The Psalms are rich with grief, joy, dread, excitement, gain, and loss. Psalms are like the tie dye shirts of the Christian experience and I think we reflected the nuances and range of emotion through the lyrics, music, and song sequencing.

Bryan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Bryan Diver (guitar, piano, vocals, songwriting) and I am in The Jonah Project with Aaron Allred (drums, vocals, production) and Tristan McGee (guitar, vocals, production). We started the band in 2017 and have been writing together ever since. We are too rough around the edges for most Christian music listeners and are too Christian for most non-Christian listeners. We make the music we wish was in more Christian spaces and hope others discover it for themselves.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
We truly do make art for arts sake and that is better than any business model we’ve come across.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Share the music you love. It doesn’t have to be well known. But word of mouth is the way true fans are made.
