We recently connected with Bryan Aleman and have shared our conversation below.
Bryan , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
When I’m photographing a wedding, a couple, anybody, I like to give them something unique; something that will stand out forever. I go for the natural expression of emotions and try to capture them with creative and artistic shots. When you one of my collections, you can tell it’s something different, you don’t see the regular every day wedding photos or portraits that any photographer can give you.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am Bryan Aleman and I am an International wedding and portrait photographer. Like many photographers I feel like everything began with curiosity; I wanted to buy a camera to see what I could accomplish with it. After practicing with nature and architecture photography, I finally decided to explore portraits. From there, I loved the uniqueness of every person, and started to discover the uniqueness in every wedding. I wanted people to fall in love with precious moments that are important to them and their loved ones. The uniqueness of the moments I capture, the way I compose a photo and the way I edit is what sets me apart. I am currently a member of some of the most prestigious wedding and portrait photographers associations such as Wedding Photojournalists Association, Lifestyle Photographers Association, Bride Association and Inspiration Photographers. I have been awarded over 60 times at an International level by those associations in the past 3 years. Last year was named Top 50 and Top 100 photographer in the world and I was nominated to be International Portrait Photographer of the year by Inspiration Photographers in 2021.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to create beautiful images for my clients. I want them to feel happy and proud to show their captured memories to their loved ones. I want to keep exploring and continue to improve my knowledge and talent by giving it my best effort. My motor is and always will be my family. They are my biggest fans and they push me to be successful.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Nowadays social media is the biggest tool to showcase your work. When you post images that make an immediate impact, it draws attention and the desire to obtain similar images of yourself or for your event. That, in turn, helps with clientele growth. Even though social media is a great tool, I feel like word of mouth is up there when it comes to clientele growth. When your clients are happy, they tell their friends and family about their experience with you and in my case, they have something to show them as proof. I have been blessed with having clients in different states and different countries all over the world.
