Brooklynn , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

The idea for Summerset Events started way back when I was a kid. I’ve always loved weddings, and I used to plan pretend ones just for fun. At eight years old, I had a sketchbook filled with cake ideas and dream vendors. I’d spend hours watching “My Fair Wedding with David Tutera”, taking notes like I was getting ready to plan the biggest day ever. That show sparked something in me, and I knew one day I wanted to bring that same magic to life.

Eventually I went to college and ended up in the marketing and corporate world, however my passion for weddings never went away. Then Covid hit, and as we all started to reconnect with what truly mattered, I realized it was time to take a leap of faith. The world was in a weird place, but it gave me the push I needed to pursue what I’d loved all along—weddings and events.

Starting Summerset Events felt like the perfect way to bring something unique and heartfelt into the world. I knew I wasn’t just planning events; I was creating experiences that truly reflected the people I was working with. What excited me most was the chance to follow my passion and help create unforgettable moments for others.

Summerset Events is a full-service event planning company specializing in weddings, but we also extend our creativity to other events like birthday parties, baby showers, corporate events, etc . We’re known for our unique approach – pushing boundaries and designing events that are deeply personal and unlike anything else in the industry.
