Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brooklyn Robinson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Brooklyn, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
If you want to be successful you have to have confidence within yourself and your business. Nobody can brand your brand better than you don’t rely on other people to make your business successful such as celebrities and influencers. Nobody can promote and put in the time and effort more than you because your business/ brand should be something that you put every second into with love and dedication.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Brooklyn and I got into this industry by working 2 jobs to fund hair and make wigs from scratch. I then took them wigs and installed them on myself and just promoted the wigs. That then led me to have a client base which now I provide many different services involving weave. I am currently working to get my cosmetology license to be able to provide my clients with a wonderful experience and help them grow their hair. I think what sets me apart from others is that I’m genuine and I don’t do hair for the money I actually love servicing people and making them smile and to be able to see my visions come to life is amazing. I am proud to be healthy and have a beautiful daughter to show her how to be successful and to be able to make money from different incomes and love whatever she chooses to do in life. I want everyone to know that just because there’s someone doing the same craft doesn’t mean you stop even if you feel discouraged. People will come to you and support you based off of you as a person and your craft the next persons craft might be better but your personality or customer service will set you apart from them. Not only do I do hair but I’m a YouTuber as well and will be back to selling hair. If you would like to keep up to date with me follow me on Instagram @loveebabyb.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
It’s not too much of a lesson but it’s a bad habit. I had to learn to get out of being so fearful I let it discourage me and hold me back from a lot. I used to be too worried that people may not like content that I put out or it might not get the reactions that I would like it to.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Great sources of finding new clients is by word of mouth, promoting on social media with hashtags, telling people locally that you run into about yourself and your brand. Also find Facebook groups in your town that help promote small business or people who are looking for services where you can promote what you do or sell.
