Brookelynn, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
In my opinion, in order to be successful you have to be both patient and consistent. Success definitely doesn’t happen over night! It takes a lot of discipline and constant networking. I created my business a little over two years ago and every single day I make sure to tell at least 5-10 people about what I do. This is not only to gain new clientele but also to connect with others and build my legacy. It’s honestly so beautiful being an entrepreneur, I wake up every day and get to decide what I will do next to grow my business and better my life. I feel that I am definitely successful, but not quite to the point where I can say “I’ve made it!” But I’m getting there. Thank you for having me!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi, my name is Brookelynn and I am designer from Arizona! I specialize in creating custom, 1 of 1 hand sewn designs.
I started my brand (@shop_crystalz / SHOPCRYSTALZ.COM) two years ago during the COVID shutdown. I originally graduated from ASU with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice (2018). However, in divine timing, I found my true purpose & began expressing myself through fashion.
I have recently designed for the host from the Phoenix Suns, multiple artists, rappers, models, sports fans, dancers and even a King from Africa! I have also gone viral multiple times on social media showcasing my custom jerseys & other hand sewn designs.
I hold myself and my brand to very high standards as quality & exclusivity is my priority! I request that all clientele provide their specific measurements for a perfect fit, which I believe that is what sets me apart from other brands and fast fashion.
My clients are able to come to me with their ideas & trust that I can make them come to life!
I have also started a secondary brand (@logosbybrookelynn) where I am able to assist other entrepreneurs create their own clothing! I think it is so important to share knowledge & help others, so what better way than to bring their personal logo to life on a brand new sweatsuit, work out set, bikini, and even on their sneakers! Genuine energy is necessary, I want everyone to succeed. I will always support others because there is room for everyone to win.

Through my entrepreneurship journey, I am definitely most proud of my resilience! I’ve continued to push myself out of my comfort zone in order to grow by studying the market, networking & always taking risks! After all, what is the worst thing that could happen? Someone says no? In my world, NO means Next Opportunity! When you are working hard & manifesting abundance, the right doors will open & you will naturally be in alignment!

Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
On March 18, 2022, I was outside of the Phoenix Suns stadium selling my custom jerseys off of my arm with my best friend. After hours of walking the streets, exhausted, we ran into Jae Crowder’s manager. He was very intrigued with my designs & asked to put one of my custom jerseys into his fashion show the following day. He brought us into the Suns game that evening, which gave us a chance to network! Towards the end of the game, we were walking courtside. I noticed the beautiful Suns host Alicia standing there, she had just got done speaking. I took a risk and walked right up to her, introduced myself & asked if I could custom make her a jersey for next game! She was so genuine & kind. I gained two very important connections that night which really took my brand to the next level!
I’ve customized different designs (blazers, jerseys, velour sweatsuits, denim jackets etc.) for Alicia for every single game up until the Suns lost Game 7 against the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Semifinals.
I am so so thankful for the opportunity! I was able to attend all of the games, I continued to network and gain a ton of clientele throughout the stadium! This opportunity really opened my eyes to the bigger picture. Since then, I have designed for both the Boston Celtics & Golden State Warriors (championship is going on currently).

Entrepreneurship is definitely stressful at times, but by taking risks I was able to accomplish so much in just two short months! In addition, the Phoenix Suns stadium holds 17,071 people. The stadium was sold out every night which means there were roughly 34,000 eyeballs viewing my designs lol. When you put it into perspective, that is the best marketing possible. along with word of mouth advertising!
None of this would have happened without my perseverance to continue to walk the streets of Phoenix personally selling my work. Once again, due to divine timing. I look forward to what the future holds.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I believe the most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been networking & word of mouth advertising. At this point in time I have designed for multiple well-known people who are willing to share my brand! They have gone above and beyond to acknowledge my hard work & recommend my services to others. For that I am so thankful, so far I have had a 63% customer return rate which definitely comes from prioritizing quality & exclusivity!
I am always looking to assist others. By showcasing my genuine energy & hustle mentality through networking & building relationships.. it has been somewhat simple to gain clientele!
