We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brooke Corradetti. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brooke below.
Brooke, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe success is measured in a lot more ways than what I believed before I started my business. Before I started my business, I thought success was just if you made a lot of money and if you didn’t well then you have a goal to work towards.
Since opening Sociallybrooke Inc almost 3 years ago, I have LEARNED that success is measured in SO many more ways, mentally, physically, emotionally etc. It’s not about how much money you make but rather the journey you are taking to achieve your goals & desires.
Every year I sit down and write out my personal goals & business goals and then I look back on the previous year and see how far i have come, what I achieved and what I didn’t. The things I didn’t achieve, THATS OK, but I push myself harder to reach them the next year.
This measurements holds me accountable and holds me to my success. These goals all range from targets, clients, personal fitness goals, travelling, vacations etc!
When I speak about success also being measured emotionally, physically, mentally I mean that if you hit let’s say a certain target or goal for annual income, but you have let yourself go physically, you did not take any vacation, you work 14+ hour work days, then are you really successful?
Brooke, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Brooke and I am the proud owner & founder of Sociallybrooke where I specialize in Organic Social Media Marketing. I started my business in November 2021 during the pandemic.
I love bringing my visions and creativity into a page of someone else’s passions, helping them grow both socially and organically – and Social Media is a great way to do just that!
A little back story on how I got to where I am today, I went to University for Sociology and then decided that was not my forever career. I finished my undergrad and went on to do my post-grad in marketing management. After completing that degree, it was mid pandemic and I wanted to go into event marketing but that was not a thing… I then decided I needed to take my future into my own hands and bring my dreams to reality.
So, my baby was born, Sociallybrooke.
Sociallybrooke focuses on helping businesses expand their social growth by expediting social media platforms to their fullest potential.
We offer full and partial social media management, organic engagement, 1-1 coaching, branding & content strategy.
Problems we solve for our clients is that social media does not have to be a 2nd job for you and your business, we want to bring back the fun in social media and make sure that not only is your marketing being taken care of but you are also learning along the way what we are doing and how you can continue the growth of your business as well. A big issue we see, is running a businesses marketing but then once a budget runs out or a change of course happens, the client has no idea what has been done and cannot continue and then goes ghost. So we have taken this research and changed the narrative. We make sure you are as much apart of the journey as you want to be!
What sets Sociallybrooke apart from others is that we STRONGLY focus on organic growth, we make sure the audience we are attracting is your target clients & customers. We do this through engagement, content strategy and creation!
I am most proud of the fact that I have grown my business at such a young age and been determined to serve my clients in the best way possible, at the end of the day I want you to feel the most comfortable with having someone running you marketing. I go through a detailed process in onboarding so that we can best get to know each other.
The main thing I want people to know about me and my business is that the passion I have for social media and marketing is STRONG. Every day I wake up excited to work and continue to help people EXCEL and grow their business. I work with all types of companies & industries, I believe that you can research and learn a company but you cannot force a connection and relationship. Therefore, all clients are taken through an approval to see if both of us are a good fit for each other! Communication is big in marketing so if that lacks, it will show through the marketing strategies.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I started my business on Instagram. I created a social media marketing page and begin to grow my clients and following from there. Still to this day, Instagram & Tik Tok are my main platforms that I get the most leads from. I grew my page from 0-4500 organically and i believe this helps me differentiate myself in the organic marketing industry because I can use my platform as evidence that it can work for you also with the dedication & consistency.
My advice for those just starting out and trying to build their social media presence is STAY CONSISTENT. You hear all the time “you have to post 7x + a week to be successful and see growth” and I want to say that this is not true. CONSISTENCY is the key and always will be. Find what works for your page and your audience. Trial and error is a big tip because what works for you, won’t always work for another account. So, if your audience reacts better to you posting 3x a week, then stay consistent with that. If they react better engagement wise with 2x a week, then stay consistent with that. Do not overwhelm yourself because your audience can feel that energy and that does not build authenticity.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
I have had 3 employees now within my business in almost 3 years, and some advice I have for managing a team and maintaining high morale is that you need to realize no one will care or commit as much time and effort into your business as you, and since realizing that I have learned to appreciate my employees more and the work they do for me and my business.
I had to learn delegation, trust, responsibility and once I did that you grow relationships on a deeper level with your employees.
