Brooke, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My Mission is to make sure my clients are well educated with it comes to insurance protection and are able to make a well educated decision when deciding what coverage is right for them. This is a meaningful mission to me because Colorado Insurance can be very expensive and in a blink of an eye a person can be in a situation where coverage is needed (unwanted auto accident, unexpected fire, a not so nice hail storm). Therefore with all of that in mind, I want to make sure that my clients understand the coverage they have and why they have it, but I also want to make sure that they know what other coverages are out there. I think this played a big role in my mission especially after the Marshall Fire in 2021. People became underinsured overnight all because of a fire that no one could really control.
Brooke, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have been an insurance agent since 2011 and have served as an agent in Colorado, Arizona and Texas. No body goes to college and says they are going to be an insurance agent. I went to College at Adams State University and received my Bachelors degree in Business with an emphasis in Small Business Management. While going to school I needed a job and I knew that I would excel in an office setting which is what lead me to Farmers Insurance. I started my career then with Farmers as a receptionist for a busy office where I worked my way up to a licensed producer, then office manager, then was running an agency by myself. At that point the agent that I worked for offer for me to take over the agency and that’s when I said Yes! I offer insurance for all types of different things. Our main focus is auto, home, commercial and life insurance, but can also write farm and ranch, special events and Aflac.
We are different than other agents because we are customer focused meaning we take the time to explain and educate them on available coverages and why premiums are they way they are.
I am extremely proud of myself and the business I have built. I am not only a entrepreneur, but I am an employer, a wife, a mother and a cancer survivor.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Building reputation in a market that is flooded with other agents and other insurance companies is hard to overcome, but I believe that valuing educating and connecting with potential clients and current clients is what has helped build my reputation. I highly believe that when people ask about who others use for insurance, my clients can confidently say Brooke because she values educating you on what coverages are out there.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Marketing for insurance isn’t easy because no one wants to talk about insurance until they absolutely need it. Connecting with like minded business owners, building my brand, finding my niche market, and personal/business development has been a major game changer in finding new clients.
