We were lucky to catch up with Brooke Beise recently and have shared our conversation below.

Brooke, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Has Covid resulted in any major changes to your business model?

COVID is the precise reason this this business model exists. There has ALWAYS been a desire and a gap for micro weddings / that happy medium for those who want more than a courthouse wedding but don’t want to spend thousands of dollars. The restrictions on weddings and events allowed that space to dream up such a concept and put it into fruition. It is not going anywhere either, there is definitely a need a way to have an intimate wedding with all of the essentials.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

about me . . . For over 12 years, I worked at wedding venues helping hundreds of couples and their families navigate the planning of room diagrams, food & beverage details, timelines, etc. It goes without saying I have some great stories and I have made friends with the best in the business (and should probably write a book!)! There was always an option missing, a way to have a gorgeous celebration without spending the same as a down payment on a home. I am fulfilling that need for a celebration that is a happy medium between an elopement and a full reception. It would be my absolute privilege to have a conversation and see if we are a match.

It is a unique way to celebrate that is a happy medium between going to the courthouse to get

married and spending tens of thousands of dollars on the traditional celebration. At its core, a Pop-

Up Wedding is a 15-minute ceremony, a one-hour social reception, and some lingering photos. You

get ALL essentials, including the venue, décor, officiant, photographer, videographer, personal floral

(bouquet and boutonniere), a sweet bite to eat (dessert), and a taste of champagne, all for up to 30

guests. We can also discuss any customizing you might want to include, like additional guests, etc.

The venues, dates, and times are all pre-determined, so you just choose an available one that you like

and works for you. The only “to-do” list for you is to trust me, smile at having everything done for

you, get a marriage license and bring your friends and family. Enjoy doing whatever you like after.

Some couples have gone straight to a honeymoon, guests over to a home to celebrate, had

dinner after at their favorite restaurant, had an after-party at a suite at a Hotel, and simply went home to

Netflix & chill, etc.

How Does a Pop-Up Wedding Work?
The cost is around $6000 INCLUSIVE depending on the venue and date. There are pre-

determined dates and times because that allows me to spread vendors’ costs between multiple

couples during the day, making it financially effective for you. My super-power as Founder is

connecting an amazing team. They are simply THE BEST, and awards from Minnesota Bride will also say so.

We have all helped hundreds of couples with their weddings and over time have established that trust among with all of us. It is really a remarkable and magical thing and I feel very lucky that I get to do this with my friends. My super power is connecting them, and my job is to stay out of the way. How did you build your audience on social media?

I did a contest with a local radio station as a marketing program It really helped to build my followers and get some expose all while having fun!
