Alright, Bronwyn thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always wanted to work in aviation and aerospace since I was a kid. When drones surfaced as a commercial, civilian opportunity I jumped on it. I studied and got my FAA drone pilot certification and then began to asses the market. I used my many years of business experience to make some concrete plans. I’m now scaling and building. I see this as a market game changer and a solution for infrastructure based operators to gain better data more efficiently and faster. We’re now offering drone services, data and autonomous solutions that no one else is.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I joined the industry after a long career in business and innovation. My desire to add value in this new space of aerospace innovation is a dream come true. We are an on demand drone services, AI, data and autonomous system solution for critical infrastructure, catastrophe and climate/environmental customers. We are committed to providing aerial data for both routine and emergency occasions with a capable team of pilots and autonomous drones and other equipment to make it seamless and safe to capture data through all seasons and weather conditions.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Starting a new tech startup right before a global pandemic has been one of the biggest challenges I’ve undertaken. It has been a whirlwind experience. We started off strong then went through a long period of drought, as did almost every other business, but I held the line. I used that time to build our podcast, make the brand more visible, onboard incredible team members, and learn more about the industry. When many others were burning through money, we kept expenses low and maintained our ability to stay afloat. I’m in this for the long run and it takes a resiliency like I could have never imagined.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Gaining visibility and a solid reputation in the industry has been one of my key goals. With mostly everyone being new to the business, I wanted to make sure I had proper mentors, a path to wisdom building and exposure to the thought leaders. I put myself out there and began to share my voice to panels, as a moderator and a keynote speaker at industry events for drones, geospatial and autonomous systems. This has allowed me to create a presence and a network of powerhouse experts. Also launching the podcast has been one of the best time investments as I’ve had a chance to build an audience and learn from some of the best innovators in the world. This along with my commitment to provide innovative, safe and professional solutions has afforded me the chance to develop the first stages of trust and collaboration with customers and alliances.
