We recently connected with Brody Tippetts and have shared our conversation below.
Brody, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.
Our parents taught us to always give back. We know that God has given us all we have, and He can take it away- Might as well enjoy the journey and give freely when we can

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Where did we come from? Why are we here? Where are we going? We all ask those questions in life. For us it started around a kitchen table, finishing off the last of mom’s pot roast, following a family Sunday dinner.
Our mother, jokingly, brought up the idea of opening up a quilt store. She loves quilting, and saw a gap in the market in our area. After a lot of deliberation (and finishing the pot roast) we decided to open up Sew Yeah Quilting. We have always loved the American dream, and mom’s quilting joke inspired us to become a part of the creative industry.
Mom’s dinner joke soon became a reality; we opened a quilt store. However, none of us ever imagined that our little shop would grow into what it is today—Las Vegas’s premier quilting store! We are an internationally recognized operation serving 7 countries (currently), with more growth to come.
We are continuing to expand on the national and international level. Our Youtube channel offers not only amazing free tutorials, but also brings people together from across the globe in fabric-buying free-for-alls that are an absolute blast! That’s not to mention the best (and possibly only) sewing variety show, The Sew Yeah Show, where you can get valuable information, project ideas, and a lot of laughs!

Sew Yeah Show Episode 1 – Will It Sew Under Water? (Answer: Yes!)
Now that you know what Sew Yeah does, here’s a little bit of who we are.
Zach
The eldest of the three brothers, Zach handles the behind-the-scenes work at Sew Yeah (finances, taxes website design/ management). He is the most creative of the bunch, and enjoys hands-on projects (sculpting, woodworking, painting), spending time with family, and all things creative.
Brody
The middle child (without the syndrome), Brody manages the storefront, public relations, and events. He’s the kind of person everyone loves to be around. Brody loves the challenge of business, and the “hustle.” If something needs to be big, Brody will make sure that it happens, and that it’s first class.
Teancum
The youngest of the brothers, Teancum manages the inventory, marketing and promotion, and entertainment side of Sew Yeah. He loves to laugh, joke, and have a good time. His fun-loving personality is balanced with the dedication to dig in and get the job done. If you’ve laughed during one of Sew Yeah’s livestream events, it was probably due to Teancum…”but we can’t talk about that.”

We know we can’t do it without you, and we are SO grateful for your support!

You will feel right at home in our store, where our friendly, knowledgeable team members are always happy to answer questions and help you find the products that best suit your creative needs. If you don’t live in Las Vegas, don’t worry! We offer the same outstanding selection on our website sewyeahquilting.com (which you’re on now!).
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments regarding our products or services. We are here to help!
Sincerely,
The Sew Yeah Family
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
COVID. We had to go from a retailer to a online retailer almost overnight. It was extremely difficult but at the end of the day it was a huge blessing. Sometimes the hardest of situations brings the biggest growth
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Honestly and solid customer service. There is nothing more important than honesty and solid customer service . Word of mouth, google reviews, yelp … the list goes on and on of ways that customers are going to talk about you. If you are not honest in all that you do , and do not provide top notch customer service- you will never make it. Large businesses do not stand the tests of time that do not have a customer base that backs them, and you cannot have that customer base that backs you if you do not give them the best service.
