We were lucky to catch up with Britton Frankel recently and have shared our conversation below.
Britton, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
Much as in Climbing, risk is ever present and all around. The inevitable pull of gravity, the fear of the unknown, and the lingering thought in the back of your mind asking yourself if you can even do this. Can you complete your goal, can you get to the top?
Within this and ironically enough, climbing and life share so many parallels for which to draw from. So much so that my risk became turning my passion into my life’s work.
In opening DynoClimb and becoming a small business owner I left the comfort of a corporate job, benefits, and an outline laid out for me. But I gained a community and a means to share my passion for fun, functional fitness within Rock Climbing.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

At DynoClimb we offer our Members, Guests, and Athletes a means to start their journey or push their goals within the ever growing Sport of Rock Climbing.
Through the act of rock climbing one can truly get to know more about yourself, overcoming obstacles, and learning to keep on pushing through your “can’ts”.
We offer memberships, parties, event’s, team building, guest passes, kids programs, and more.
Climbers as young as 2 and as old as 85 have climbed out walls.
From the first time climber to the seasoned crusher. We have something for everyone in a uplifting environment.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The biggest thing that helped build our reputation is and will always be the passion we give to our Athletes day in and day out. Our community stems from the bond in which we all share within climbing.
Rock Climbing is a humbling sport where in you will fall. As a community we have all been there and will all be there again. Helping others learn grow and get back up again is the bond all climbers formally share and at Dyno, our walls become a safe haven for people to learn, grow, and succeed in a challenging way..
In providing a consistency of experience for our dynamic community of climbers and fitness enthusiasts, we have impacted our reputation within the industry as being one of the highest rated climbing gyms in the southeast.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
We engage our athletes ( the term we use for our guests) every day while be it climbing, working out, or on social media.
We repost stories and tagged posts. We talk with athletes on feedback and suggestions. We try to make our facility feel less as a gym and more as a home in which our athletes are free to share experiences.
