We recently connected with Brittney Yares and have shared our conversation below.
Brittney, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I attribute a lot of my success to good old hard work and follow through. It’s important to have a vision, positive energy, motivation and follow up and through on your word. Sometimes you have to work late, work long and hard to get where you need to. Everything is temporary and ever changing – go with the flow – ride the wave – trust the process – there is always something to learn and gain from every experience and situation. It takes like-minded individuals with combined energies and knowledge to create success.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I stumbled into this industry as I was just going where the universe took me through a career path adventure. I found what I could be passionate about while making money. This industry is always growing and unfolding new opportunities and challenges. Everyday there is something new to learn and experience, keeping my brain and body healthy and focused where it needs to be. I am unique to this industry because I will always prevail and complete whatever task is in front of me. There is nothing I’m unwilling to learn or try. I love to create and explore new ideas and options. All of my companies, BrittneyKate Builds, Nean N Clean Co., and BrittneyKate Properties provide housing services od some type – framing, cleaning, and real estate. It’s very rewarding to be a part of the process and watch a building or home be constructed or transform in front of your eyes. Every day you feel a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie. It’s a wonderful feeling to see a friend, family, or organization move into their new home/space. The gratitude goes both ways in this industry and my companies.
Has your business ever had a near-death moment? Would you mind sharing the story?
I struggled almost daily financially at the beginning and throughout business growth. Negative bank accounts, no end in sight, near death moments of the businesses. That’s just part of growing pains sometimes. The money WILL come. The right people will find you and stay with you regardless. It’s only failure and risk if you see it that way. There’s always a way – you may not like it, but there is a way! Everything works itself out how it’s supposed to. Hang in there! Don’t give up because you’re having doubts. Do the things you can and what you know, the rest will fall into place if you let it. Trust yourself and the universe. Spread your spark and energy to build relationships and maintain company morale and productivity. Set plans in motion, and lead by example and effort. Be thankful for everyone and everything.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My constant hard work and dedication to every job I have. I keep things on schedule and hit all deadlines. Which is very important in this field. I don’t let my gender get in the way. And I have a can-do attitude and energy…always!
