We were lucky to catch up with Brittney Wilmore recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittney, thanks for joining us today. Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
I’ve always loved, been inspired, and admired my Mother, Sandi, but it wasn’t until I became a mother myself that I realized the undeniable weight of her sacrifices. A single Mom, like myself, my mother taught me what it means to be resilient. She raised my sister and I with so much love, care and support- never once missing the opportunity to scream at the top of her lungs “GO BRIT” at one of my track meets. No matter how tired she was, or how “small” the event may have seemed, she was always present, smiling and happy.
My Mom has always pushed me to pursue my dreams. I remember the nerves that filled my body when I got pregnant at 19- almost feeling like my dreams were over but my mother wouldn’t allow it. She stepped up in all of the places that were lacking and even relocated to South Florida to help me raise my Son so that I could continue to pursue my dreams. Everything I am is because of her. She gives me strength where I am weak, laughter when I am sad, and the Will when I am without. She is everything a Superhero embodies- but I just call her Mom.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Axial media has been the best source of seeking new clients and or potential clients being able to see your work and clicking on things I’m tagged in . Social media on all platforms is by far the best opportunity to promote and be utilized.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Reputation is key . Being memorable. Giving your clients a reason besides the finished look as to why they should or would come back to you and also why they should get you referrals. People care about people who care about themselves . My appearance matters my hygiene matters . My banter makes a difference. My positive energy and my ability to communicate and interact and be an outlet for people a safe space makes people want to be in my chair
