Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brittney Hite-Whitaker. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Brittney, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents did so many things right, but what stands out the most is how they have always loved and supported me unconditionally. They taught me the value of perseverance and dedication, but equally important, they instilled in me the belief that I could always pursue my dreams, no matter how big or unconventional. They have always allowed me to challenge their belief systems, encouraging open dialogue and growth of new perspectives. They taught me to question when something doesn’t feel right and to trust my intuition when it does.
I come from a family of farmers and entrepreneurs, where the values of hard, honest work and finding joy in the simple things are deeply cherished. Connection to God/Spirit/Source can be found in honoring each other, the Earth, its animals, nature, and treating all living beings with the same love and respect we’d like in return. There’s a deep sense of gratitude and mutual respect when your needs are fulfilled in balance with nature, animals, the land, and its harvest. Alongside these values, there was also a spirit of creative thinking, as we would constantly find innovative ways to solve problems and improve our way of life. Throughout my life, when a path didn’t already exist, I was always encouraged to be the first to carve out a new path, embrace the unknown, and take control of my own destiny.
My mom always saw a light inside of me—an untapped well of creative and spiritual gifts. She believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. She’s always had this intuition of knowing things unsaid. In many ways, she showed me that letting spiritual gifts flow freely should be the norm. She taught me how much of an honor and blessing it is to be a vessel of healing or a messenger of God/Spirit/Source for someone. She’s been a trailblazer on her journey in a lot of ways and I wouldn’t be who I am today if I didn’t have her in my life setting that example.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have such amazing parents, especially knowing that not everyone is lucky enough to experience that kind of love and support. Their generosity and kindness towards others has been deeply inspiring, shaping the way I approach both challenges and opportunities in life. The bond I share with them is truly special, and I’m so grateful to have them in my life.

Brittney, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Growing up on a small country farm, I always felt connected to nature and animals. As a kid, I enjoyed sitting in the middle of the yard in the grass surrounded by trees, animals, and the sounds of nature. Whether it was a sunny day or a starlit night, I could be out there for hours. I loved every minute of the serenity and how connected to God it made me feel. I developed a great discernment early for what came from God/Spirit/Source and what didn’t serve me. My personal health journey is what led me down the path of seeking alternative holistic health options and seeing firsthand how beneficial they are. I had multiple doctors tell me that I had trauma stored in my body and needed to try different methods to release it in order for my physical well-being to be aligned. I didn’t know too much about energy healing or emotional trauma healing at the time, and when an animal communicator said my dog, Fender, told her that he wanted me to learn how to do Reiki so that I could help him age more comfortably, I jumped in full force to whatever that was. I’d do anything for Fender and I think he knew that. I credit Fender for leading me down the energy healing path, and I’ll always be grateful to him for that. Once I realized how much releasing trauma from the body and energetic healing benefited my life and my animals, I decided to start Vivacious Collective to help others. Sometimes knowing there are other methods out there to try that could bring the healing or answers that you’re searching for is all the glimmer of hope you need.
A lot of my clients happen to be animals. I haven’t come across an animal in the home or on the farm who doesn’t love receiving Reiki therapy. I like to picture myself as a bridge between humans and the Animal Kingdom. We have so much to learn from animals, and I’m grateful to help give them a voice to communicate any needs or messages they may have for us. These messages can sometimes come through during an animal Reiki session.
My services include: Animal Reiki, Human Reiki, Emotional Trauma Release Muscle Testing and Home Clearing/Blessing. Whether human or animal, my intentional approach not only addresses surface level symptoms but also the deeper root causes behind them. Viewing our body as a whole physically, emotionally, mentally, energetically and spiritually can make all the difference in releasing and restoring. Everything is connected!

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
My goal with every session is to provide the client with a comfortable and spiritually protected space so that they feel safe to allow all that is in their highest good to flow, release and restore. Humans and animals are heavily influenced by their environment and easily affected by our energies. It’s important to be mindful of that and consistently prioritize energy healing or spiritual self care practices to our own wellness routine. I know I’m at my best for others when I’m replenished, balanced, and my energy is in alignment. I’m also constantly learning and growing by reading books and seeking inner peace by healing any broken places to release trauma. We are all on a healing journey together and have to also give ourselves grace when we come up short or don’t meet our own expectations.
Trusting yourself, your intuition and all the unique gifts that you bring to every experience is important. Knowing you are here in this present moment at this time is for a reason. You are worthy of being a vessel of healing for your client. Miracles can happen when you least expect them to or in ways you never imagined. Every second of every day is a new opportunity for healing or for a situation to improve. Every new thought could spark a new revelation on how to solve a problem or notice a pattern to a deeper rooted issue. Sometimes the biggest obstacles are the ones we place in front of ourselves mentally with doubt or second guessing. I believe we all have an inner intuition of knowing who we are and what we are capable of. We have so much untapped strength and power within us.
I also believe acts of kindness are important and the love we put out there has a ripple effect and can be more impactful to us and those around us than we realize.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I’m currently obsessed with this podcast called, “The Telepathy Tapes” by Ky Dickens. It truly expanded my mind and rocked some belief systems to my core in a good way. It ignites thought-provoking conversations around consciousness, human capabilities, and the boundaries of current science. It encourages us to explore new perspectives on communication and the realistic potential for extraordinary abilities within us. As the world increasingly merges the spiritual and the scientific, it inspires and excites me more than ever.
I’m always thrilled to discover new books and usually feel guided toward them for a reason. Books like “BRIDGING WORLDS: Unlocking the Secrets of Intuitive Animal Communication” by Alex Anderson, “Nature: Divine Experiences with Trees, Plants, Stones and Landscapes (Common Sentience)” by Ana Maria Vasquez and anything by Ted Andrews have offered powerful spiritual insights. They’ve helped me realize how important it is to stay connected to a deeper sense of purpose, balance, and being grounded, while also embracing the interconnectedness of nature, animals, and humans. These lessons have had a profound impact on how I approach life and my relationships with others, and I bring this mindful, holistic perspective into my work with clients.
