Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brittany Williams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Brittany, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the best or worst investment you’ve made?
The best investment I made was purchasing my large format printer and press. When doing all over shirts on a small printer it takes a lot of work. You have to split the design based on the size of the shirt. Then print each sheet and cut and tape it together. Then if you have a small press (15×15) you need to have all the correct materials to make sure you press the shirt right. The large format printer is more efficient to use. It prints a whole shirt on one sheet of paper. The large format press allows me to press the shirt once. Thus making it possible to do more in less time.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Brittany Williams. I am a wife and a mom of two boys. I’ve been an entrepreneur for about 18 years. I’ve always been in the apparel industry. I owned and operated a formal wear shop for 13 years. We closed that right before Covid and I put my full focus into becoming a custom apparel designer. I use a form of printing called dye sublimation to print. It allows me to print on polyester material and substrates made for sublimation. The brand specializes in 3d/All Over T-shirts for graduation, memorial, and birthday shirts. I love to take the special moments of others and turn them in to long term mementos and keepsakes. We can make custom necklaces, bracelets, memorial grave covers, custom drink ware, and so much more. We recently expanded the business and added Direct to Film prints. This is our way of helping our fellow creatives that don’t want to buy all the equipment to make t-shirts. They simply buy the print and press onto the item of clothing they want.

How did you build your audience on social media?
My largest social media presence is on Tiktok. I have 25.3k followers and growing! I started to really focus on Tiktok when everyone was dropping gems on clubhouse. I learned I could go live and promote my business and also get paid if I had enough followers.. I began to post at least 3 times a week, sometimes more. It was really hit or miss. I stayed consistent with my content. I did how to videos and responded to any questions asked. Some videos did well and others did ok. It took me a few months to reach 1,000 followers because i was already halfway there. It took a year and 1 month to reach 10k. It’s all about consistency and staying true to the brand you built.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe my personality helped build my reputation in the sublimation industry. My TikTok community calls me the G.O.A.T of 3d/All Over shirts. Not because I’m absolutely the best but because of the amount of time, energy, and effort they watch me put into my products. I also make it a purpose to share and help others that are just starting in the industry. Offering advice on what to do, what not to do, and how to be successful. My lives are spent sharing any wisdom I have. Also the ups and downs of being and entrepreneur. We have a good time laughing and sharing experiences with our client base as well. It’s a community for sure.
