We were lucky to catch up with Brittany Webb recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brittany, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
Becoming an entrepreneur is the biggest risk I have taken. Simply because it’s all about taking risks when first starting. You have to have faith and believing in yourself in order for you to make this big executive decision! I did not know where to start or what I was doing; until I started doing research. I am an advocate for the saying “finish what you’ve started”! Without the mindset I have, I would not be who I am and where I am with my businesses. With taking this leap of Faith, I ended up having hurdles with finances. But I overcame those hurdles once I started reading upon financial literacy.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Brittany J. Webb, I am a North Carolina Native and the founder/owner of Britts Bikini and Swimwear. Which is Women-led and curated on April 20th, 2020. I got into my business due to a numerous reasons. I love fashion, I love taking care of my skin and I love to workout. So why not incorporate the things I love under one big umbrella?! The products I have are Swimwear, Whipped Body Butters and Athletic wear!
The problem(s) I have solved with my Whipped Body Butters in particular would be that I have believed that I’ve found the cure for eczema. I have had issues with weather changing; and, my body adapting to the new upcoming seasons (Fall/Winter). That I needed to find something quick and easy to help with itchiness and my eczema break outs. To be clear, I am not a dermatologist ‘nor am I an esthetician. But I have helped not only myself but many others with the issue I have.
I am able to say, these are a high commodity throughout the year! The key ingredient for my body butters are Vitamin E Oil, Mango Butter and Vegetable Glycerin. What sets me a part is the passion, creativity and love I put into my brand. I am most proud of not giving up on myself. It’s easier to give up and not execute your goals. But, I am three years into being a business owner and I would not trade it in for the world.
What I want potential customers to know about me/my brand? I am a hustler. I believe in having multiple streams of income! Especially starting out as an entrepreneur!
How did you build your audience on social media?
My audience was mainly my friends. I started out with 900 followers when I started my business and the over the course of time. I’ve gained an ample amount of following! It’s all about being consistent and being authentic with your audience. On Instagram, they have a feature called ‘REELS’. Which has helped me gain my following with creating content. I have sent swimwear to influencers and they’ve helped me with following as well.
My advice would to be yourself! Whenever you’re doing a photoshoot for your brand, make sure to get Behind The Scene footage to help create content. I am someone that will pull my IPhone out and record everything; but of course in 4K/60 when creating videos. The video domes out 100% better.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Making sure I interact with my audience, creating content, being consistent, email marketing, sms marketing, creating ADS on Google, getting my business on Google (which is FREE), Google reviews and being authentic! I have created relationships with a lot of people on social media; along with networking and getting my business out there!
