Brittany, appreciate you joining us today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?

I often get the question of how Style House by Brittany got started and it honestly started when I was a little girl. I always loved decorating my birthday parties and redecorating my bedroom. I did this for years for myself and a few family friends. It wasn’t until college that I actually started to consider this as a career and how to build what is now a creative design studio. During college, I spent my weekends decorating birthday parties, graduation parties, bridal showers, and anything else people would allow me to design. What started as parties eventually turned into styling photo sets and now fairly vast interior decorating projects for homes and offices. What moved me past the idea phase was starting to tell people what I was doing and that I wanted to do more of it. Once I started doing, I was able to start learning, growing, and building.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Many people don’t know that I’m a formally trained graphic designer—and that foundation deeply shapes the way I approach every project at Style House by Brittany. It’s one of the key elements that sets my studio apart. With a trained eye for composition, color, and visual storytelling, I’m able to approach interior and event design with a unique perspective that allows me to work seamlessly across a wide range of spaces.

Style House by Brittany is a creative design studio specializing in interior styling and event design. We believe the magic is in the details, and we pride ourselves on curating luxurious, intentional spaces that captivate the senses and leave a lasting impression. Whether you’re transforming your home, office, or hosting a special event, we create environments you won’t want to leave.

Our studio handles both the creative vision and the logistics behind each project. We’re known for clear communication, an enjoyable design process, and delivering elevated and custom results. But more than that, we want our clients to enjoy working with us. Reading testimonials that not only highlight the final design, but express a desire to work together again, is the most rewarding part of what we do and one of the things I am most proud of.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I think any entrepreneur can relate to the constant obstacles that seem to show up at every turn. There are so many stories I could share, but one that stands out is a season when I had little to no projects for nearly the entire year. It was financially straining, emotionally draining, and deeply discouraging.

Looking back, I now see how necessary that time was. I had become so consumed by my business that I started to tie my self-worth to its success. That slow season forced me to pause, rest, and rediscover who I was outside of my work. I reconnected with God, made space for joy, prioritized time with friends and family, and even started learning how to cook!

Cooking, surprisingly, has taught me a lot! I’ve learned patience, resilience, and the importance of trying again when things don’t go as planned. Now, as business picks back up, I’m so grateful to have healthy outlets and meaningful routines that don’t leave my spirit depleted. Success isn’t just about what we build, it’s also about how we live along the way.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

I’ve always loved community, connection, and meaningful moments, and I believe they’re even more powerful when experienced in a beautiful space. There’s something about waking up in a thoughtfully curated home that makes each day feel more inspiring. Working from home becomes less of a chore and more of an intentional, focused experience. And when life’s biggest moments, whether personal celebrations or corporate milestones take place in a dynamic, energizing space, they become even more memorable.

That’s the feeling I strive to create for every client. I want their environments to support joy, productivity, and connection. Knowing that my designs impact how people feel in their homes, how they show up in meetings, or how they celebrate is what fuels me.
