We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brittany Stauts. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brittany below.
Brittany, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
In 2018, I moved from New Orleans to Victoria, TX. The move was part of a corporate relocation and part of the package included working with a Professional Organizer to downsize prior to the move. That was the first time that I realized organizing could be an actual profession. I immediately hit it off with the Organizer who was assigned to me. All of the skills and tendencies that I naturally had were perfect for this type of vocation. After the move was completed, I started in my own home. I practiced in every room making it neat and functional. Next, I started working at the homes of my friends. I was able to build up a strong portfolio and things grew organically from there. I find that most people don’t know that this type of service exists. The organizing was going well so over time we have evolved into so many different realms – consignment, concierge service, personal assistant, in-home helper service, and now move management.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
The bottom line is that we do all the things that people don’t want to do or don’t have the time to do. We primarily offer residential decluttering and organizing services, but there is also an audience of people who know they can call us if they have a problem that needs to be solved. Nine times out of ten, we are able to find and implement a solution.
Organizing evolved into a helper service for clients who needed someone in their homes weekly to aid in household tasks. Consignment was a natural offshoot of closet organizing. We have worked in all aspects of move management for years, and now we have wrapped it into a full-service option. I also offer online coaching for those who feel stuck and unsure of where to start.
I am proud of the brand that I have built because it embodies some of my core beliefs. My background is in Psychology, so mental health is extremely important to me. I am a Certified Personal Trainer and recognize the physical component of health and wellness. I also believe that your home environment and spaces, even so small as your desk, are important in your day-to-day functioning. Taking a small step towards growth in any of these realms can truly help clear some of the clutter in your life to make space for the things you want to do and enjoy.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think my reputation has been built on two main things: customer service and growth. Waiting tables through college taught me that everything comes down to taking care of people, listening, and anticipating needs. These are skills I’ve carried into my business. I’ve always been laser-focused on the client experience, not just the finished product. On top of that, I wasn’t afraid to take the leap to grow. A lot of organizers choose to stay solo, but I knew I wanted to build a team and a company that could serve more families in a bigger way. The combination of putting people first and being willing to expand has been a big part of how I built my reputation in this market.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Without a doubt, word of mouth has been the best source of new clients. When someone has a great experience, they naturally want to share it with their friends, family, or neighbors. Those personal recommendations carry so much weight, and they’ve helped me build trust in the community faster than any ad campaign ever could.
