We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brittany Noble. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brittany below.
Brittany, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
There is no greater risk than jumping and hoping you will fly. Photography is a passion that has given me the wings. Let me tell you how I jumped one day.
I was a technology sales representative in a call center for 12 years. I loved it! In fact, I was amazing at sales. I would get a high from making people fall in love with my personality. Customers would come to me for my knowledge, trust, and friendship. All of this “training’ was really getting me ready for the job I was made for.
After having my third son, I realized I was spending a fortune on photos of my kids at studios. I checked out how much the investment of a professional camera would be. It made sense for me to take them on my own. I have always been the lady who had a disposable camera in her purse. My friends on social media started noticing the photos I was taking of my kids. They asked if I would take their family photos as well. I could not stop myself from learning how to use my camera or how to use different software editing programs. It was addicting! It came to the point I was even asked to do wedding photos.
I would work 8am-5pm at my sales job. Then after my kids would go to bed, stay up until 2-3 am to edit photos. I did this for eight years. My family had grown by then as well. I had 5 beautiful kiddos. It took a lot of faith and hope to realize photography was were I was meant to be. I stepped down from my sales career. I was terrified! I built a family with my customers and co-workers. Was I crazy to give all that up? There is a quote painted on a building in the small town I live in that I always loved. “What if I fall? oh but darling, what if you fly?” So I chose to fly.. That was three years ago. Throughout those three years, I have been blessed with clients who support me and my passion. That risk turned out to be the best choices I could make for my family and myself.
Brittany, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Brittany Carol Photography is not a business who takes photos. It is a business built on love and passion. I am Brittany Noble. I am the owner of Brittany Carol Photography. My middle name is Carol. I was named after my Grandma Carol. I felt it only natural to name my business named after her. She had a contagious heart of gold. People were drawn to her personality. When I say my business is built on love and passion. I mean that in every way. I have a huge heart for my clients. I watch their kids grow up through my camera. My clients trust me to capture the biggest day of their lives when they marry.
Wedding photography is truly where I shine. I am not just their photographer. I am their nurse, sister, therapist, wedding coordinator, waitress, and biggest fan. My entire focus will be on how I can make their photos and day flawless. I have a second photographer and assistant to help me achieve this.
The passion never stops as I am constantly learning how to take better photos. I love learning new techniques to make my clients also shine. This job requires a lot of education. I try to also answer clients as quickly as possible. The upkeep on social media is essential in this market. How lucky am I to already have my marketing photos! My passion for it all is what sets me apart from other photographers.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Throughout this eleven year journey, I have worried the newer photographer charging less would put me out of business. The market is over saturated with photographers charging 20.00 a session. It made me want to hang up my camera and quit. It was then I realized I didn’t want to be just a photographer who charged 20.00 and moved onto the next. I wanted to provided a whole service people would be happy to pay my value. It took time and resilience to find what that was. These clients treat me like family because that I how I have always treated them.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source to find clients for me was social media. It is essentially today’s “word of mouth” recommendation go to. As the quote goes.. “A picture is worth 1000 words.” The art spoke for itself. I feel so blessed it made my business take off like it did.
